Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

A Green Warden Rogue does what their Druid allies cannot. They fight without rules or morality to protect the natural world. These Rogues are the silent stalkers in the trees and the hunters of hunters. They use a combination of Druidic magic and deadly weapon attacks to protect their homes and allow Druids the peace they need to maintain the natural order.

Level 3: Druidic Magic

Your connection to the natural world as a protector gives you the ability to cast magic similar to Druids. You learn a number of Druid spells at certain Rogue levels as indicated in the Green Warden Spells table. The table also shows what levels the spells must be at. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells. When you finish a Long Rest you can swap one of these spells for another Druid spell at the same level.

You can cast these spells without a spell slot a number of times equal to 1 + your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest. When you cast a spell of level 3 or higher using this feature you must expend two uses instead of one. Your Druidic Magic spells are always cast at the lowest level possible.

Level 3: Green Warden Training

You are a friend of nature and well trained in how to utilize it to your advantage. You know Druidic and can cast the Speak with Animals spell, but only as a Ritual.

In addition, you gain proficiency and Expertise in the Nature skill, and you can use your Wisdom modifier for Nature checks instead of Intelligence.

Level 9: Cunning Beast

You can weave the ferocity of nature between deadly weapon strikes. You learn the following Cunning Strike option, but can only use it on your turn.

Beast Strike (Cost: 4d6). You transform into a Beast of Challenge Rating 2 or lower that does not have a Fly speed until the end your next turn, or until you are Incapacitated or choose to end the effect early (no action required). After transforming you can immediately take 1 action from the Beast’s stat block as part of the action or Bonus Action you used to trigger Sneak Attack.

When you transform using this feature your game statistics are replaced by the Beast’s stat block, but you retain your personality; creature type; Hit Points; Hit Point Dice; Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores; class features; languages; and feats. You also retain your skill and saving throw proficiencies and use your Proficiency Bonus for them, in addition to gaining the proficiencies of the creature. If a skill or saving throw modifier in the Beast’s stat block is higher than yours, use the one in the stat block. You can’t cast spells, but transforming doesn’t break your Concentration or otherwise interfere with a spell you’ve already cast.

When you reach Rogue Level 13 you can transform into Beasts with a Fly speed, and when you reach Rogue Level 17 the maximum Challenge Rating for the Beasts you can transform into increases to 3.

Level 13: Nature's Blessing

You can reach out to nature itself to gain a blessing as its protector. You learn the Speak with Plants spell and can cast it without spending a spell slot. Once you cast the spell in this way you cannot do so again until you finish a Long Rest. When you cast the spell roll a d6. You gain a Blessing based on the number rolled.

1

You gain Temporary Hit Points equal to 4d8 + your Wisdom modifier

2-3

You gain Heroic Inspiration

4-5

You gain the effects of the Bless spell for 1 hour

6

You regain one expended use of Druidic Magic

Level 17: Green Warden Mastery

You have mastered the art of using the magic and ferocity of nature to become a deadly protector. When you use Sneak Attack with your action on your turn you can use your Bonus Action to cast a Druid spell that you know from your Druidic Magic feature that has a casting time of an action.

You can use a Bonus Action to cast a spell in this way even if you have transformed into a Beast using Beast Strike. If you are transformed, the spell will use your stats instead of the Beast’s stats when determining spell save DC and spell attack rolls.
