Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Sometimes a barbarian is trained through discipline, rather than wild emotion and rage.

This subclass is a Quixotic-Dragon production.

In order to help us improve it, please take a moment to rate it and comment your answers to the following questions:

  • Is this subclass unique enough to be justified as its own thing?
  • Is there anything about this subclass that doesn't fit the balance established by Wizards of the Coast?
    • If so, what?
  • Is there any terminology or phrasing that made this subclass confusing or difficult to understand?
  • Are there any changes you would make in order to make the subclass more fun or easier to play?
  • Are there any other notes or improvements you would make to this class that were not mentioned in these questions?

Thank you for taking part in our creative process! We hope to have a refined version available soon!

The Immovable Mountain

Starting at 3rd level, you have advantage on saving throws against forced movement.

Additionally, when you succeed on a grapple check while raging, you can move the creature 5 feet in any direction, and your movement while maintaining a grapple is halved instead of reduced to 0. You can continue to rage even if you haven't attacked or been attacked as long as you are grappling someone.

The Rushing River

Starting at 6th level, while raging, you can attempt to stun a creature that you hit with in attack. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8+ your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be stunned until the end of your next turn. You can do this three times per rage.

The Thundering Earth

Starting at 10th level, while raging you can strike the ground, causing the earth within 15 feet of you to become difficult terrain, and creating the effects of the Thunderwave spell as if it were a 1st-level spell. This can be done once per rage.

The Flying Boulder

Starting at 14th level, while raging, you can perform a high jump equal to three times your normal jump distance and land on your enemy. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8+ your athletics bonus) or be pinned and take 12d6 bludgeoning damage. If the creature succeeds, you still land and make a Thundering Earth attack.

You can use this ability once per long rest.
