Base Class: Bard

Like many bards that can either inspire valor or charm their enemies, Bards in the College of Horror specialize in telling scary stories, inspiring fear, and creating terrifying illusions through eerie song. 

Level 3: Frightening Presence

Your presence is considered intimidating due to your knack for unsettling comments and anecdotes, and your ability to inspire fear or discomfort with your looks alone.

Level 3: Scary Illusions

As a magic action, you can create sensory effects to make things appear more eerie, unsettling, or downright terrifying. It has a range of 30 ft in diameter, and you can choose 2 frightening effect to occur simultaneously.

some sensory effects include:

-the lights becomes dim or blotted out

-the sounds of insects and beasts 

-the air becomes cold or windy

you can use this effect a number of times equal to your CHA modifier each long rest, regaining 1 use after a short rest.

at level 14 this feature is replaced by Horrific Illusions, which increases the range and effectiveness of your illusions.

Level 3: Scary Stories

Using either 10 minutes of your time or a short rest, you can tell your party members a scary story, inspiring them to be paranoid, giving them advantage on perception checks and initiative rolls for 1 hour afterward

Level 3: Bardic Fright

Expending 1 use of Bardic inspiration, you can choose to automatically frighten an enemy as long as you have the ability to make eye contact.

Level 6: Psychic Damage

Add psychic damage equal to your charisma modifier to any creature that has been frightened by you.

Level 6: Phobia Table

Up to a number of times equal to your charisma modifier per long rest, regaining 1 use on a short rest you can inspire a specific phobia in an enemy, dealing extra psychic damage equal to you charisma modifier + 1 bardic die whenever they take the type of damage they have a phobia of.

Phobia Table:

-Phobia of Poison: psychic damage added to any poison damage or condition dealt

-Phobia of Death: psychic damage added to necrotic damage dealt

-Phobia of Needles: psychic damage adde to any piercing damage dealt 

-Phobia of Fire: psychic damage adde to any fire damage dealt

Level 14: Terror

When you successfully frighten an enemy, you can control whether or not their fear makes them recklessly fight the source of fear with disadvantage, freeze to a movement speed of 0, or flee their movement speed away from you during their turn.
