Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians are known for their unending rage and pure physical prowess. It has become a staple of their buff physique and raw power. While the power of anger can be a nigh unstoppable force, there a few who truly know the harms of releasing all of their pent up rage. Barbarians who follow the Path of the Aquatic Being, while they may have an affinity for water and its properties, mainly choose this path to control their anger. They seek to use their rage as a means of assistance and aid rather than an violent outburst of energy.

Few Barbarians know of this path, as it only found by those looking for its promise of stability. It is sought after by those who know the consequences of unkempt anger, or by those who know that pure strength is not the answer to everything. Some Barbarians even discover this path through others such as Druids and Clerics, who wish to help them find their calling. In the end, this path allows the Barbarian to keep their unending strength, and a free mind at the same time.

Calm Mind

Starting at 3rd level, you begin to keep your mind focused and ready while your body does all of the fighting. While you are raging, you have advantage on Wisdom saving throws.

Flowing Strikes

At 3rd level, you begin to follow the example of water. A force capable of bending and twisting its form to achieve its goal, an example you begin to follow. All melee weapons you wield now gain the Finesse property (described in Chapter 5 of the Players Handbook). You can also use Dexterity instead of Strength whenever you make a Reckless Attack. Whenever you land an attack with a Finesse weapon, you can deal extra damage equal to your Dexterity modifier + your Proficiency bonus.

Aquatic Prowess

At 6th level, the knowledge you have gained from your mental training and observation of water begins to improve your abilities. You gain a swimming speed of 25 feet if you do not have a swimming speed. Each time you rage, you may cast the 1st level spell Create or Destroy Water as a bonus action without needing material components. You are resistant to slashing damage even when you are not raging.

Command of Body and Soul

At 10th level, you begin to train your body and spirit into working in unison with your mind, becoming a powerful yet controlled warrior. While you are raging, you cannot be restrained or lose consciousness. If you drop to 0 Hit Points while you are raging, you automatically stabilize. Each time you make a Reckless Attack, only ranged and spell attacks have advantage against you until your next turn.

Control of the Watery Spirit

At 14th level, you have reached your current height of control and you have one last task to complete. Become one with your teacher and utilize their powers. On your turn if you are raging, you may take an action and enter a semi-aquatic form, becoming a free flowing watery warrior. While in this form you gain immunity to all forms of bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing, unless it is magical. When you land a melee attack on a creature while in this form, your weapon becomes surrounded by magical water, which slows all who touch it. The creature is reduced to half of their speed and they gain disadvantage on Dexterity rolls until the start of your next turn. This form ends when your current rage ends and you can use this ability twice before needing a long rest to regain all expended uses.
