Monk
Base Class: Monk

Reapers excel in combat with their unique sickles and power over death. They may be assassins, harbingers for gods, or simply those seeking revenge. A reaper sees death as part of one's journey, ferrying those along the path to it and delivering it to those whose time has come.

Level 3: Reapers Duality

Your training as a reaper grants you specialized versions of sickles. When using two sickles, you gain the ability to modify your weapons with to create two distinct stances. a chain stance focused on range and offense, and a staff stance focused on defense. While in either stance, your weapon is a monk weapon

Whenever you finish a short or long rest, you can choose to set your sickles to chain stance or staff stance. While in each stance, you gain the following benefits:

Chain Stance (Dual-Wield): The reach of your weapon attacks increases by 10 feet and you gain the Nick weapon mastery. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can pull the creature within 5 feet of you if it's no more than one size larger than you.

Staff Stance (versatile): You gain a +1 to your AC and the cleave weapon mastery.

Additionally, you learn to harvest the energy from those that die around you. Whenever a creature within 10 feet of you drops to zero hit points, you can regain a number of hit points equal to half a roll of your Martial Arts die unless you are incapacitated or unconscious.

Level 6: Scythe Defense

You develop a better understanding of using your opponent's strength against them. You gain the following benefits for each stance:

Chain Stance: When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can spend a 1 Ki point and use a reaction to make an attack roll against the creature. If the attack hits, you can also   move to the opposite side of the creature without provoking opportunity attacks. When you do this, the creature must make a strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Staff Stance: When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can spend 1 Ki point and use a reaction to hook the creature with your sickle staff and use them as a meat shield. When you do this, you gain the benefits of half cover from the next attack roll against you from a creature other than the one you have hooked. If this attack misses, the attacker must then make an attack roll against the hooked creature, at which point the hooked creature is released, otherwise they are released at the start of your next turn.

Level 11: Reapers Lethality

Your lethality has greatly improved. You gain the following abilities:

Sickle Rain: When you pull a bloodied enemy within 5 feet of you as part of a weapon attack in chain stance, you can follow up with a flurry of slashes against that target as part of the same attack, dealing an additional 3d6 slashing damage to the target and causing them to bleed. A creature bleeding this way takes an additional 1d4 damage at the start of each of their turns for 1 minute, or until they regain any hit points. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses after a long rest.

Culling the Flock: Once per turn while in Staff Stance, whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points you can immediately make an additional attack with your staff against another creature within range as part of the same attack and deal an extra 1d6 slashing damage. This attack cannot benefit from the cleave weapon mastery.

You can also spend 2 ki points to infuse your sickles with power for 1 hour, turning them into magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming resistance to non-magical attacks

Level 17: I Am Death

You now bridge the gap between life and death, both for yourself and your foes. Granting you resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on death saving throws.

You also have mastered your weapon stances, gaining the following benefits:

Chain Stance: Sickle Rain now does 6d6 slashing damage and the bleeding causes 2d4 damage at the start of the creatures turn.

Staff Stance: You now gain a +2 to your AC instead of a +1, and Culling the Flocks additional attack now benefits from the cleave weapon mastery, even if you have already used cleave this turn.
