Base Class: Sorcerer
I wanted to recreate the Stone Sorcerer subclass for the 2024 Sorcerer rather then the Legacy 2014 version. Taking a few cues from user Sorks' take on the class, I have tried to bring the class up to speed with some other Sorcerer subclasses.

Unable to link Sorks' homebrew on a submission, I'm afraid, but as of writing this it's the highest rated thing when you look up 'Stone Sorc' on the homebrew page
Level 3: Stone's Durability
The magic in your body manifests as reflections of your Earthen boon. Your Hit Point maximum increases by 3, and it increases by 1 whenever you gain another Sorcerer level.
Additionally, much of your body takes on a stone appearance, or perhaps is protected by various rocks. In any case, while you aren’t wearing armor, your base Armor Class equals 13 plus your Constitution modifier.
Level 3: Earthen Spells
When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Earthen Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Earth Tremor, Thunderous Smite, Shining Smite, Maximilian's Earthen Grasp |
| 5 | Erupting Earth, Blinding Smite |
| 7 | Stone Shape, Staggering Smite |
| 9 | Steel Wind Strike, Transmute Rock |
Level 3: Bonus Proficiencies
When you take the Stone Sorcery subclass, you gain proficiency with Shields, Simple Weapons, and Martial Weapons.
Level 6: Stone's Aegis
As a bonus action, you can grant an aegis to one allied creature other then yourself that you can see within 60 feet of you. The aegis is a dim, gray aura of earth magic that protects the target. Any bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage the target takes is reduced by 2 + your sorcerer level divided by 4. This effect lasts for 1 minute, until you use it again, or until you are incapacitated.
In addition, when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you hits the protected target with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of the attacker. You can teleport only if you and the attacker are on the same surface. You can then make one melee weapon attack against the attacker. If that attack hits, it deals an extra 1d10 magical bludgeoning damage. This extra damage increases to 2d10 at 11th level and 3d10 at 17th level.
Level 14: Edges of the Earth
Starting at 14th level, your mastery of earth magic allows you to add the force of elemental earth to your spells. When you cast a spell that deals damage, choose one creature damaged by that spell on the round you cast it. That creature takes extra magical bludgeoning damage equal to half your sorcerer level. You can also spend 1 sorcery point to empower this ability, changing the damage type to force and enable targeting of second creature. Regardless, this feature can be used only once per casting of a spell.
Additionally, you can tap into the very vibrations of the earth to sense imminent threats. You gain Tremorsense out to 10 feet in a radius around you, and can use a bonus action to extend it to 40 feet, but you are blind when using it this way, until you use a bonus action again to cancel the feature.
Level 18: Earthmaster's Aegis
Beginning at 18th level, when you use your Stone’s Aegis to protect an ally, you can choose up to three creatures to gain its benefits.
In addition, you gain 10 feet of Tremorsense from allies with the Stone Aegis active, and when you use the extended Tremorsense in the Edges of the Earth ability, the Tremorsense aura granted by allies extends to 30 feet. You are still blinded while it is active.
