Base Class: Bard
Studying the abilities of demons and fey, this bard specializes in leveraging their power to make deals with possible allies or future foes. With these deals they manipulate masses or desperate individuals to great affect. Their boons may change the tide of battle in an instant.
Level 3: Giftgiver
As an action you and a willing creature (other than yourself) can form a pact, giving the creature the ability to cast a 3rd level or lower spell from the Necromancy or Enchantment spell list and reducing its maximum hit points by a number equal to your proficiency bonus for each level of the spell (to a minimum of 1). The creature can cast the spell once a day and your maximum hit points increase equal to the amount the other creature's maximum hit points is reduced.
You can have a number of active pacts equal to your charisma modifier.
Level 3: Delving Deep
After speaking to a creature for 1 minute, you are able peer into the mind of the creature forcing them to make a WIS save. On a failed save one of the following effects happen without their knowledge:
- You draw a piece of information from the mind of the creature, as if diving deep from the Detect Thoughts spell.
- You cause the creature to become frightened of a creature or object of your choice for 1 hour or until the creature is harmed, imagining it is their deepest fear (you gain no inherent knowledge of this fear).
- The creature has DISADV on the next saving throw it makes within 1 hour.
On a successful save, the creature has no knowledge of the effect.
You regain the use of this feature after a short or long rest.
Level 6: Shadow Stitcher
When a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you can rip the shadow from the creature as a reaction. When you retain a creature’s shadow you can destroy the shadow and cause one of the following effects as an action:
- You can shapechange into the creature. While you're in the disguise, you gain access to all information that the humanoid would freely share with a casual acquaintance. Such information includes general details on its background and personal life, but doesn't include secrets. The information is enough that you can pass yourself off as the person by drawing on its memories.
- You can cause the shadow to disperse around your form protecting you. You gain temporary hit points equal to twice your character level.
- You consume the imagination of the creature, gaining a heroic inspiration dice.
You can take the shadow of a willing creature as an action.
You may take a creatures shadow once per short or long rest.
Level 14: Fateweaver
Fateweaver (14th)
Your bardic inspiration now lasts for 1 hour.
When a creature uses one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, it can cause one of the following additional effects:
- The creature can reroll the triggering d20 test, damage or healing roll. Note: All dice can be rerolled once for the damage or healing roll.
- The creature heals a number of hit points equal to twice the result of the bardic inspiration dice.
- When used on an attack roll or spell damage, the creature deals additional damage equal (to one creature) equal to twice the result of the bardic inspiration dice.
