Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Shadebound Stalkers bind their essence to the Shadowfell, learning to dissolve into smoke and absence rather than relying on cover alone. Where others hide behind darkness, these rogues hide within it.

Level 3: Umbral Dissolution

You can partially unravel your body into shadowy vapor.

As a Bonus Action, you enter a smoky, indistinct state that lasts until the start of your next turn. While in this state:

You can move through the space of other creatures as if it were difficult terrain.

Opportunity attacks against you are made with Disadvantage.

You can attempt to Hide while lightly obscured, as shadows cling unnaturally to you.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 9: Cloak of Fading Breath

You instinctively thin into mist when attacked.

When a creature you can see targets you with an attack, you can use your Reaction to impose Disadvantage on that attack roll. Whether the attack hits or misses, you can immediately move up to half your Speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use Uncanny Dodge against the same attack.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once), regaining all uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 13: Shadowlung Ambush

Your strikes carry the suffocating weight of the Shadowfell.

When you hit a creature with an attack while you are Hidden, Invisible, or affected by Umbral Dissolution, the attack deals extra Necrotic damage equal to half your Sneak Attack dice (rounded down).

Additionally, the target’s speed becomes 0 until the start of its next turn, as shadow coils around its limbs. Creatures immune to being Grappled or Restrained ignore this speed reduction.

Level 17: Fade Into Nowhere

You abandon solidity entirely, becoming a living absence.

As a Bonus Action, you become Invisible and partially Incorporeal for 1 minute:

You can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain.

If you end your turn inside an object, you take 1d10 force damage and are shunted to the nearest unoccupied space.

Attacks against you are made with Disadvantage.

You can attempt to Hide without cover or obscurity.

This effect ends early if you are Incapacitated or if you choose to end it (no action required).

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest, unless you expend two uses of Umbral Dissolution to activate it again.
