Base Class: Rogue
The Shadow Sentinels are elite rogue warriors who have honed their craft by mastering heavy armor and weaponry, without sacrificing the subtlety and precision that defines their profession. These rogues use their cunning to find weak points in an enemy’s defenses while leveraging the weight of their equipment to deliver devastating blows. They are a rare blend of brute force and tactical ingenuity, surprising foes with their ability to stay mobile and strike hard, even while wearing the heaviest of armor.
Martial Training
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with all armor and martial weapons.
You can use the Mastery Property of one martial weapon of your choice, which you can replace upon completing a long rest.
Sentinel’s Armory
Your training extends to using even the heaviest equipment. You gain the following benefits:
- If armor normally has a Strength requirement, the armor lacks this requirement for you, and you suffer no disadvantage on stealth rolls for donning it.
-
While you are wielding a weapon with which you can use its Mastery property, it is considered a Finesse weapon for you.
Brutal Opportunist
At 9th level, you become a master of capitalizing on an enemy’s mistakes.
When a creature you can see within 5 ft misses you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to make one melee weapons attack with a -5 penalty to the attack roll against that creature. On a hit, you can add your Sneak Attack to the damage roll of the attack.
Ruthless Efficiency
At 13th level, you have mastered the art of eliminating enemies with ruthless efficiency.
Once per turn, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a weapon attack, you can immediately make one additional weapon attack against a different creature within range of the same weapon as part of the action used to attack.
Executive Strike
At 17th level, you master the art of execution, bringing even the most powerful of foes to their knees through force and precision, and finishing them off with a concise blow
When you deal Sneak Attack damage to a target no more than one size larger than you, it must succeed on a strength saving throw (DC 8 + Attack Modifier) or fall prone. If you hit a prone creature with a melee weapon attack, the target takes additional force damage equal to the roll of your sneak attack dice pool, even if you have already used Sneak Attack on the same turn.
