Whether by a strange call from within the valley or other strange tales, a rare few miraculously survive. Level 3: The Void Within

While raging, if you take damage you can use your reaction to roll a constitution saving throw as if to maintain concentration as a spell. On a success, you take no damage but your rage is still maintained, as your body briefly hollows itself to avoid the source of harm. During your rage you take 1d6 minus your charisma modifier (minimum of 0) necrotic damage at the end of each of your turns, as the void within you consumes you from the inside. This damage doesn’t count towards maintains your your rage and can’t be negated by The Void Within.

Consuming Strike

During your rage you can draw from the void within you to surpass your usual limits and make an additional attack as a bonus action. Doing so further increase The Void Within’s self-damage by 2d6 for the turn.

Withering Presence

The void within you grows strong enough to consume the life around you. The damage rolled for The Void Within is also dealt to all creatures within 10ft who fail a constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier). You can increase The Void Within’s self-damage by 1d6 to increase the range of your Withering Presence by 10 ft. for a total of 20 ft.

Eldritch Nature

You can more adeptly manipulate the void within you, giving your rage the following benefits:

  • You have advantage on The Void Within’s constitution saving throw to avoid damage.
  • Each self-damage die from The Void Within deals 1 less damage to you.
  • You can choose creatures to spare from your withering presence, and creatures who succeed their saving throw take half damage.
