Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Tide Warrior frequently hail from seafaring island and coastal tribes. These fearsome warriors are well-known in such regions for their intense connection with the ebbs and flows of the ocean, often displaying strong innate knowledge of weather and storms. Though they are severe and hardy, they tend to harbor a deep love for the ocean and its ways, displaying reverence and admiration in even the harshest of storms.

Level 3: Tide's Fury

When you select this path at 3rd level, you harness the tide while Raging. When you deal your Rage damage, you can choose the damage type to be lightning  rather than your weapon’s damage type. You can choose to ignore resistances when you deal this damage type PB times per short rest.

Additionally, when you use your Reckless Attack feature and succeed on the attack roll, you can call upon the sea and cause gusts of wind to buffet your target. The target must make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failure, a Large or smaller creature has the Prone condition. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per short rest.

Level 6: Storming Rage

Beginning at 6th level, you become Resistant to lightning  damage.

While Raging, you are enveloped in a storm of static electricity. Once per turn, when you take damage from a melee weapon attack, you can use your Reaction to cause the targeting creature to take 1d6 Lightning damage. This damage increases as your powers grow, increasing to 2d6 at level 10, 3d6 at level 14, and 4d6 at level 20. You can cause this damage a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier per short rest.

While Raging, you can move with the fluidity of the tides. If you have made a melee weapon attack against a creature this turn, your movements do not provoke opportunity attacks from that creature.

Level 10: Storm's Reach

Beginning at 10th level, when you use your Reckless Attack feature, you can forgo the Advantage to increase your attack's range by 10ft (Attacks against you retain their Advantage). If you are successful with this attack, you deal additional Lightning damage equal to your weapon's damage die.

Level 14: Bearer of the Tides

Beginning at 14th level, you harness the power of elemental lightning while raging.

Once per short rest, you can activate your Tide’s Call when you enter your Rage, gaining the following benefits:

Stormbringer. Your melee weapon attacks deal additional lightning damage equal to your Strength or Dexterity modifier (you choose when you reach this level).

Strike of the Sea. When you take the Attack action, you can forgo your melee weapon attacks and instead call down a blast of lightning. This is a Melee Weapon Attack, with a reach of 15ft. (Proficiency Bonus + Strength modifier to hit), and deals 2d8 lightning  damage on a hit. When you hit a creature with this attack, you can force it to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + Proficiency Bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be paralyzed : until the end of its next turn. Once a creature has been paralyzed : in this way, it cannot be affected by this feature again for 24 hours.
