Base Class: Rogue

While others frittered away their time, you studied the blade. Shinobi, myrmidons, duellists and other swordmasters frequently follow this archetype. This style emphasises speed and a single decisive strike.

Swift Draw

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in all one-handed and versatile martial weapons that deal slashing damage as well as great swords. These weapons gain the finesse property while you wield them.
You can draw a finesse weapon as part of making an attack with it, and when you do so during the first round in combat, you have advantage on the attack roll.

Level 3: Deadly rush

You are skilled at rushing down your foes to deliver devastating blows.
When you take the dash action you can make an attack with a held weapon or natural weapon as part of the same action if you moved at least 10 feet in a straight line during the movement, the attack has advantage if you moved 20 feet in a straight line. If this attack lands you can choose to inflicts one of the following effects.

  • Slowing strike - The creatures movement speed is halved until the start of your next turn.
  • Crippling strike - On the creatures next turn it must choose to take one action or bonus action not both.
  • Deadly strike - The attack deals an extra 1d6 of your weapons damage. this damage increases by 1d6 at 5th level(2d6) and again at 8th(3d6), 10th(4d6), 13th(5d6) and 15th levels(6d6).

You can choose to inflict one of these effects a number of times equal to 2 + your proficiency bonus regaining all uses on a long rest.

Level 9: Dangerous Reputation

At 9th level, your fame begins to precede you. You are widely known as a sword master, and can move between diverse social circles. Level 9: Skillful parry

Also from 9th level, When you use your Uncanny Dodge feature you gain a bonus to your AC equal to your proficiency bonus, which lasts until the start of your next turn. If you used Uncanny dodge on an attack that hit you this bonus effects your ac for that attack potentially turning the hit into a miss. You cannot benefit from this feature if you are unarmed, wearing heavy armor, or are wielding a shield.

Level 13: Battle Trance

Starting at 13th level you've learned to heighten your battle sense to be like a trance. When you hit a creature during combat but don't or can't use your sneak attack against them the critical hit range of your melee attacks increases by 1. This effect stacks until you critically hit a creature. In addition when you land a critically hit you gain temporary hit points equal to your rogue level, if the attack kills the creature or knocks them unconscious you add a roll of your sneak attack damage to the temporary hit points you gain.

Level 17: Devastating Counter

Starting at 17th level, when you use your Uncanny Dodge feature you can make a melee attack with advantage against your attacker as part of the same reaction. If this attack crits or causes your foe to fall unconscious or die you regain your reaction.
