Base Class: Fighter
The Blood Martyr is a combatant who uses their own blood to empower themselves and harm their enemies.
Brand of Blood
As a bonus action, you can coat a slashing or piercing weapon you have equipped with your blood, taking 1d10 damage and becoming "Anemic" until the start of your next turn. You have a -2 penalty to strength and constitution saves. Enemies hit by the coated weapon are afflicted with the Brand of Blood.
You can inflict the Brand of Blood a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus before the coating ends (including multiple times on the same enemy). The brand lasts a number of rounds equal to your proficiency bonus after the enemy is afflicted.
You can activate the brand of blood as a bonus action, causing them to bleed. Each branded enemy takes 1d6 x the number of brands on that enemy damage of the same type as the weapon used to inflict the brand. Whenever the brand is activated this way or from a different feature for this brand at higher levels, the creature loses all brands.
The brand of Blood cannot be activated on an enemy more than 60 feet away.
You can coat arrows with your blood, but only one arrow at a time.
Blood Manipulation
At 7th level you gain the ability to manipulate blood in a variety of ways. When you coat a weapon with blood, you gain "Blood" equal to the damage taken plus your fighter level, and when the Brand of Blood is activated on an enemy you gain "Blood" equal to the bleed damage dealt to them. Your accumulated Blood empties after 10 minutes.
Blood Weapons:
As a bonus action you shape blood into spikes, requiring 5 blood each (you can only have a number of spikes equal to your level in fighter at one time). Each of these blood spikes deal 1d4 magical piercing damage. They hover at a point within 5 feet of you until used. You may make a ranged attack with any number of the spikes to creatures of your choice up to 60 feet (up to 120 at disadvantage) as an action.
The attack and damage modifiers for your blood weapons use constitution.
Blood Infusion:
As a bonus action you consume between 20 and 50 "Blood" to empower yourself for a number of rounds equal to your proficiency bonus. While empowered the penalties of "Anemic" are negated, your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and melee attacks deal additional damage equal to the amount of "Blood" infused divided by 10
Boiling Blood
At 10th level you gain the ability to use your Brand of Blood in a new way.
When activating your Brand of Blood you can select any number of branded enemies and cause your blood to boil within them. These enemies do not take bleed damage, instead making a constitution save. The DC for this save is 8 + the number of brands on that enemy + your constitution modifier. On a failed save they have disadvantage on strength and constitution saves, as well as disadvantage on attack rolls until the end of your next turn.
Coagulation
At 15th level you gain the ability to use your Brand of Blood in a new way.
When activating your Brand of Blood you can select any number of branded enemies and cause your blood to harden within them. These enemies do not take bleed damage, instead making a constitution save. The DC for this save is 8 + the number of brands on that enemy + your constitution modifier. On a failed save their speed is reduced to 0 and they cannot make more than one melee or ranged attack per turn. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.
Blood Mastery
At 18th level your mastery of blood manipulation has grown to the point that you are able to even mimic magical effects.
When you take a short rest you can spend one hour subsuming a metallic weapon into your blood. This weapon can be pulled from your bloodstream as a bonus action. Attacks with this weapon inflict the Brand of Blood on enemies it hits, without needing to apply your blood to it. Your attack and damage rolls use constitution when using this weapon, and you now gain Blood for every attack this weapon lands equal to your constitution modifier.
