Base Class: Barbarian
The Galishai are a group who blend magical prowess with martial skill.
Student of the Galishai
As a magus, you have broad knowledge in all things magical, and use your skills to aid yourself. You can use Intelligence instead of Constitution for your Unarmored Defense feature. Moreover, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice from the following list: Arcana, History, Medicine, Nature, or Religion. You can choose another skill at 6th level.
Additionally, you gain proficiency with one artisan's tool of your choice.

Level 3: Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the wizard spell list.
Cantrips
You learn Sorcerous Burst and three cantrips from the wizard spell list. You learn another wizard cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Magus Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your wizard spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell burning hands and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast burning hands using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
You know three 1st-level wizard spells of your choice. The Spells Known column of the Magus Spellcasting table shows when you learn more wizard spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be a spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the wizard spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an divinatio, or evocation spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.
Spellcasting Ability
Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your wizard spells, since you learn your spells through dedicated study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Level 3: Galishai Technique
You gain a new way to cast spells, which you can do even while raging: Imbue Spell and Spellstrike.
- Imbue Spell. As a bonus action or as part of the bonus action taken to Rage, you can imbue yourself with a Galishai spell that deals damage, has a casting time of 1 action, and has a duration of instantaneous into your weapon for 10 minutes. While you have a spell imbued, you can choose whether your Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike attacks deal their normal damage or one type of damage from the spell.
-
Spellstrike. As a bonus action which you take immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike, you can cast the spell. If the spell requires an attack roll, one spell attack roll automatically hits the target. If the spell requires a saving throw, the target has disadvantage on the saving throw. If the spell affects an area, you can choose whether the spell originates from you or the target.
You can cast a spell in this way even when you are raging, but you still cannot concentrate on spells.
Level 6: Arcane Sense
Due to your Magus training, you have an intuitive understanding of magic of all forms around you. You can use an action to open your mind to magic, using it in one of the following ways. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence Modifier (minimum of once)
- For 10 minutes, you sense the presence of magic within 30 feet of you. You see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic, and you learn its school of magic, if any. Additionally, you can spend a minute to study a magical creature within that radius, learning their highest level spell slot they have, if any. The effect can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.
- You can choose an object to study for a minute. If it is a magic item or some other magic-imbued object, you learn its properties and how to use them, whether it requires attunement to use, and how many charges it has, if any. You learn whether any spells are affecting the item and what they are. If the item was created by a spell, you learn which spell created it. If you instead touch a creature throughout the casting, you learn what spells, if any, are currently affecting it.
Arcane Defenses
You gain advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Level 14: Master Galashai
You can use Spellstrike twice before needing to Imbue your weapon again. The second Spellstrike does not expend a spell slot.
