Base Class: Fighter

Ego Whisperers are warriors who can hear the voices of weapons and armor—their Ego. What begins as a seemingly weak talent evolves into one of the most dangerous powers in existence.

By forging bonds with their weapons, Ego Whisperers can awaken hidden potential, enhance their allies, and even synchronize with the will of their armaments to achieve overwhelming power.

However, this path is not without risk. Those who push too far may suffer corruption, losing themselves to the very power they seek to control.

From F-Tier beginnings to EX-Tier legends, Ego Whisperers walk the line between mastery and destruction.

Ego Whisperer

You awaken the ability to hear and communicate with the Ego of weapons and armor.

• You can sense magical weapons and armor within 30 feet.

• You gain advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks to identify weapons or armor.

• During a short rest, you can attempt to awaken a weapon or armor you are touching, granting it minor properties (DM discretion).

• You can maintain a number of awakened items equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Ego Amplification

At 6th level, your bond with awakened weapons and armor deepens, empowering you in combat.

While wielding or wearing an awakened item, you gain the following benefits:
• +2 bonus to attack rolls
• +2 bonus to damage rolls
• +2 bonus to saving throws

These bonuses only apply while you are attuned to or actively using an awakened item.

Ego Dominion

At 10th level, your mastery over the Ego of weapons allows you to influence the flow of battle.

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier).

On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on its next attack roll and deals reduced damage equal to your proficiency bonus on its next hit.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses after finishing a long rest.

Ego Ascendance

At 14th level, your bond with the Ego of weapons reaches its peak, allowing you to fully synchronize with their power.

As a bonus action, you enter an Ascendant State for 1 minute. While in this state, you gain the following benefits:

• Your weapon attacks have advantage.
• Your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 damage.
• When you hit a creature, you can apply your Ego Dominion feature without expending a use.
• Creatures that fail their saving throw against Ego Dominion are also frightened of you until the end of their next turn.
• If a creature succeeds on its saving throw against Ego Dominion, it still deals reduced damage equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) on its next hit.

In addition, when you activate this feature, you manifest the Ego of your weapon. This manifestation is visible as an aura or spectral form and grants you a +2 bonus to AC for the duration.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Ego Apotheosis

At 18th level, your bond with the Ego of weapons transcends mortal limits. You no longer merely commune with these forces—you become their vessel.

As a bonus action, you enter an Apotheosis State for 1 minute, during which your form is wreathed in a spectral manifestation of your weapon’s will—an aura, phantom armor, or shifting echoes of past wielders.

While in this state, you gain the following benefits:

• You gain resistance to all damage, as the Ego shields you from harm.
• Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19–20.
• Your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 damage of the weapon’s type.
• When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional weapon attack.

• When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Ego Dominion DC. On a failure, the creature is either frightened or charmed by you (your choice) until the end of your next turn, as its will is overwhelmed by the Ego.

• While this state persists, you can use your Ego Dominion feature without expending uses.

• Creatures that fail their saving throw against Ego Dominion are also frightened of you until the end of their next turn.

• Even on a successful save, the target’s resolve falters—it deals reduced damage equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) on its next hit.

In addition, awakened weapons and armor within 30 feet resonate with your presence. You gain a +2 bonus to AC, and you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
