Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

This path is fueled by a rare Talent tied to dimensional echoes—fragments of warriors, heroes, and legends from across different worlds and timelines. Those who walk this path become vessels for these echoes, manifesting them as shifting armors that alter their combat style, abilities, and presence in battle.

Unlike traditional barbarians who rely purely on raw strength, a Dimensional Rider fights through adaptation. Each transformation represents a different combat philosophy—some focused on speed, others on defense, technique, or overwhelming force.

These transformations are not mere illusions, but partial manifestations of real power. As the Barbarian grows stronger, they gain access to more potent echoes, eventually reaching a level where their existence itself begins to resemble myth—an ever-changing warrior remembered more as a legend than a person.

At the highest levels, a Dimensional Rider no longer simply borrows power—they command it, seamlessly shifting between forms and embodying the pinnacle of their Talent.

Dimensional Armament

At 3rd level, your Talent manifests as the ability to channel echoes of legendary warriors, forming them into distinct combat Armaments.

When you enter a Rage, you choose one Armament to manifest. The chosen Armament lasts for the duration of your Rage. You know two Armaments at 3rd level.

You can switch your active Armament as a bonus action. When you do, your current Rage ends and you immediately enter a new Rage, expending another use of Rage.

Each Armament grants different benefits, representing a unique combat style. These manifestations may appear as shifting armor, spectral overlays, or energy constructs tied to the echo you channel.

Bulwark Form

While this Armament is active during your Rage:

• At the start of your turn, if you have no temporary hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level.

• You have advantage on Strength saving throws.

Overdrive:
• You gain resistance to all damage except psychic
• When a creature hits you, it takes damage equal to your proficiency bonus

Precision Form

While this Armament is active during your Rage:

• Once per turn, when you make an attack roll, you can add your proficiency bonus to the roll after seeing the result but before knowing whether it hits or misses.

• Your weapon attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover.

Overdrive:
• You can change your damage type on each hit
• Once per turn, you can impose disadvantage on a saving throw caused by you

Striker Form

While this Armament is active during your Rage:

• Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can deal extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

• When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can make one additional melee weapon attack as part of the same action.

Overdrive:
• Your extra damage increases to twice your proficiency bonus
• Once per turn, when you hit a creature, you can deal additional damage equal to your barbarian level

Velocity Form

While this Armament is active during your Rage:

• Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.

• You can take the Dash action as a bonus action.

• Opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage.

Overdrive:
• Your speed doubles
• You can take the Dash action as a bonus action each turn
• Opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage

Form Shift

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to shift between your dimensional armaments in the midst of battle.

While you are raging, you can use a bonus action to change your active Armament to another Armament you know.

When you change your Armament using this feature, you gain one of the following benefits of your choice:

• You gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
• You can immediately move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
• The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack before the end of your turn, you deal extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Overdrive

Starting at 10th level, you can push your dimensional power beyond its normal limits, entering an enhanced state known as Overdrive.

While you are raging, you can activate Overdrive as a bonus action. For 1 minute, your currently active Armament gains additional benefits, as detailed in its Overdrive description.

If you change your Armament while Overdrive is active, the Overdrive benefits immediately apply to the new Armament.

Once you activate Overdrive, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.

At 15th level, you can use this feature twice between long rests.

At 15th level, while Overdrive is active, you can change your Armament without using any action.

Final Ascension

Starting at 14th level, your mastery over dimensional energy reaches its peak, allowing you to enter a state of overwhelming power.

When you activate your rage, you can choose to enter Final Ascension. This transformation lasts for the duration of your rage and grants the following benefits:

• Your movement speed increases by 20 feet, and you gain the ability to move across vertical surfaces and liquids without falling during your movement.

• Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you deal additional force damage equal to twice your proficiency bonus.

• When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action.

• You gain resistance to all damage except psychic damage.

• If you score a critical hit, you can immediately teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see and make one additional weapon attack (no action required).

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
