Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Specializing in throwable weapons, The Huntress is a constant threat to her foes, even those at a great distance. With patience and precision, combats can end as quickly as they begin. Predict enemy movement and let your hatchet fly – there's nothing quite like the rewarding sound of a target struck.

Thrown Weapon Adept

At 3rd level, you have refined your weapon tosses into a vicious artform. When making attacks with a Battleaxe, or with any weapon that has the Thrown weapon property, you can use either Strength or Dexterity for damage and to-hit rolls. In addition, whenever you throw a weapon as part of the Attack Action, you can make an additional attack with a weapon that has the Thrown weapon property.

Hawk-eyed Huntress

At 7th level, your skill with certain weapons manifests in new and deadly ways. When you take the Attack Action and throw a weapon with the Thrown weapon property, it deals an additional 1d6 damage of its damage type. This damage increases to 2d6 at 14th level. The short and long ranges of your Thrown weapons double.

Additionally, you have learned to exercise patience with particularly difficult shots. Once per turn, when you would have disadvantage on a Thrown weapon attack, you can choose to instead have a flat roll. You can do this a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, regaining all uses after finishing a long rest.

Swirling Death

At 11th level, your lust for the kill drives you to take riskier, but more powerful shots. When you make an attack with a weapon that has the Thrown weapon property, you can choose to incur a to-hit penalty on that attack. The penalty can range from -1 to -5. On a hit, the attack deals an additional two damage for each number taken from the to-hit roll. The damage is of the same type as the weapon used.

Beast of Prey

At 15th level, you perfect the technique of fading away after a successful strike at your prey, only to reemerge with a vengeance. Whenever you successfully land an attack with a weapon that has the Thrown weapon property, you can immediately use a reaction to take the Hide action. This is done with a +10 bonus to Stealth.

On your next turn, you can then choose for your next Thrown weapon attack to become a guaranteed critical hit. You can use this part of the feature once, regaining all uses after a long rest.
