Base Class: Barbarian
Some Barbarians hear the call of the wild in the wind, but you hear it in the distorted roar of a power chord. The Iron Shredder is a warrior-performer who has fused a greataxe with a musical instrument to create a "Chordsplitter." You don’t just enter a Rage; you start a performance that shakes the very foundations of reality
Level 3: Chordsplitter
The Chordsplitter
You have fashioned a custom Greataxe that doubles as a heavy-metal musical instrument. It functions as both a martial weapon and a musical instrument.
Performance Pressure: You gain proficiency in the Performance skill. Whenever you make a Performance check, you can use your Strength modifier instead of Charisma as you use your physical power to play with legendary intensity.
Sonic Resonance: While Raging, you have Resistance to Thunder damage, and your Axe-Guitar attacks deal Thunder damage instead of Slashing.
Power Chord: Once per turn, when you hit a creature with your Axe-Guitar while Raging, you unleash a burst of sound. The target and all creatures within 5 feet of it take extra Thunder damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
Structural Resonance: As an Action, you can strike a specific chord to cast the Shatter spell (DC = 8 + \text{Strength modifier} + \text{Proficiency Bonus}), but it can only target non-magical objects or structures. When cast this way, the object has disadvantage on the saving throw. You can use this a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of 1) per Long Rest.
Feedback Loop
Your music creates a protective, vibrating barrier. While you are Raging, you gain the following Reaction options:
Dissonant Shield: When you or an ally within 10 feet takes damage, you can strike a massive chord. You and all allies within 10 feet gain Resistance to those damage types until the start of your next turn.
Static Interference: If you or allies within 10 feet must make a Saving Throw against an Area of Effect (AoE) spell or ability, you can unleash a counter-vibration. Everyone in the area gains a bonus to the Save equal to your Strength modifier.
Harmonic Snap: The creature that caused the damage (if within 60 feet) takes Thunder damage equal to your Barbarian level.
Face-Melting Solo
Your riffs shatter focus and bone. When you use the Brutal Strike feature, you can choose the following Sonic Blast effect:
Sonic Blast: Whether you hit or miss, the air in a 15-foot cone behind the target vibrates. Creatures in the area must succeed on a Strength Saving Throw (DC = 8 + Strength modifier + Proficiency Bonus) or be knocked Prone and Deafened until the start of your next turn.
Melt Focus: Any creature in that 15-foot cone that is Concentrating on a spell must immediately make a Concentration Saving Throw against your Save DC. On a failure, the spell ends.
Level 14: World Tour
Your Rage creates a 30-foot aura of thunderous music that turns the battlefield into a legendary concert. While Raging, you gain the following benefits:
Part of the Band: Allies within your 30-foot aura gain Resistance to Thunder damage, their movement speed increases by 10 feet, and they cannot be Frightened. Additionally, when an ally in the aura hits with an attack, they can choose to deal Thunder damage instead of the attack's normal damage type.
Encore: Once per Rage, when you reduce a creature to 0 Hit Points with your Axe-Guitar, you can use your Action to play a finishing riff. Every enemy within your 30-foot aura must make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC = 8 + Strength mod + Proficiency Bonus) or be Stunned until the end of your next turn.
