Base Class: Monk
Warriors of the White Heart follow an ancient monastic tradition devoted to Rao, peace, mediation, restraint, and ending violence without unnecessary death. These monks are trained to preserve life with one hand and remove violence with the other.
Their symbol is the White Heart: a pale, heart-shaped mask of serene Hue with a calm expression. To enemies, the mask is judgment without hatred. To allies, it is a promise that violence can end without slaughter.
A Warrior of the White Heart is not helplessly peaceful. They are peacekeepers, mediators, treaty witnesses, and nonlethal warriors who fight to stop greater violence before it spreads.
Level 3: Hand of the White Heart
You learn two Raoist techniques: one hand preserves life, and one hand removes violence.
Hand of Mercy. When you use Flurry of Blows, you can spend 1 Focus Point to replace one of the Flurry’s Unarmed Strikes with healing.
Choose one creature you can touch. The target regains Hit Points equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier.
Hand of Stillness. Whenever you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike granted by Flurry of Blows, you can forgo the damage of that strike and spend 1 Focus Point to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw.
The DC equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus.
On a failed save, the target is stilled until the start of your next turn. While stilled, the target’s Speed is reduced by 10 feet, it can’t make Opportunity Attacks, and its next melee attack roll has Disadvantage.
Disarming Palm. Whenever you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike granted by Flurry of Blows, you can forgo the damage of that strike and spend 1 Focus Point to attempt to disarm the target.
The target must make a Strength saving throw.
The DC equals 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your Proficiency Bonus.
On a failed save, the target drops one weapon or object it is holding.
Visage of the White Heart
Level 6: Visage of the White Heart
You learn to manifest Rao’s sacred White Heart: a pale, heart-shaped mask of serene Hue with a calm expression.
As a Bonus Action, you can spend 1 Focus Point to manifest the Visage for 1 minute. It vanishes early if you are Incapacitated, if you dismiss it, or if a creature fails its saving throw against your Hand of Stillness or Disarming Palm while the Visage is active.
If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, the Visage remains active.
Your visage is also a noticeable thing, so even NPCS you are not fighting will notice it. There are a few creatures that would not be able to see it.They would need an insight check to determine, it wouldn't be automatic.
While the Visage is active, you gain the following benefits.
Voice of the Mediator
You can use Wisdom instead of Charisma for Persuasion checks.
You also have Advantage on Insight checks.
Gaze of Still Reason
Creatures that can see the Visage have Disadvantage on saving throws against your Hand of Stillness or Disarming Palm.
Body of the White Heart
Level 11: Body of the White Heart
While your Visage of the White Heart is active, Rao’s discipline moves through your whole body.
White Heart Reversal
When you use Deflect Attacks, you add your Martial Arts die to the damage reduced.
The reduction becomes:
1d10 + your Martial Arts die + your Dexterity modifier + your Monk level
If this reduces the damage to 0 and you spend 1 Focus Point to redirect the attack, you can choose to forgo the redirected damage and instead apply either Hand of Stillness or Disarming Palm to the target of the redirect.
The chosen effect still costs 1 Focus Point and uses its normal saving throw.
This works with melee and ranged attacks within the normal range of Deflect Attacks.
Herald of the White Heart
When you manifest your Visage of the White Heart, you can spend 3 additional Focus Points to become the Herald of the White Heart for 1 minute.
While active, you gain the benefits of Visage of the White Heart and Body of the White Heart, plus the following benefit.
Final Stillness
Once on each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike granted by Flurry of Blows, you can mark it with Rao’s judgment until the end of your turn.
If you hit that same creature with another Unarmed Strike before the end of that turn, that attack becomes a Critical Hit.
A creature can be affected by this feature only once per turn.
