Base Class: Bard
The College of the Songweaver is devoted to a rare and profound understanding of existence: that reality itself is not fixed, but composed of a living harmony known as the Song of Creation.
To most, magic is a tool—a force to be shaped and directed. To a Songweaver, magic is merely one voice within a far greater composition. They perceive the deeper structure beneath spell and matter alike: the interwoven strands of fate, soul, time, and possibility, all resonating together in an endless, evolving melody.
Where others impose their will upon the world, Songweavers do something far subtler—and far stranger. They do not rewrite the Song, nor do they overwhelm it. Instead, they add to it, introducing new harmonies that become just as real as what came before.
A blade strikes—and a second note follows.
A spell is cast—and something else answers.
A moment unfolds—and another truth emerges alongside it.
These manifestations are not illusions, nor are they summons drawn across distant planes. They are echoes of possibility shaped from Aether itself—fleeting, luminous, and undeniably real for the brief instant they exist.
Songweavers are often seen as mystics, prophets, or performers whose art borders on the uncanny. Their music does not merely inspire—it resonates with the structure of existence itself. Whether guiding fate toward harmony or introducing dissonance into the world, Songweavers stand as living proof that reality was never singular—only waiting for accompaniment.
Level 3: Harmonic Manifestation
When a creature you can see within 60 feet makes an attack roll or an ability check, you can use your reaction and expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration immediately after the roll is made to create a harmonic effect originating from the triggering creature, affecting a creature or object within 5 ft of the creature, creating one of the following effects:
Harmonic Interference. The target of your manifestation, if large or smaller, it must succeed a DC {{savedc:str}}Strength saving throw or be pushed 5 feet away from the triggering creature.
Harmonic Manipulation. You interact with an object that is unattended or carried by a willing creature, within 5 feet of the creature that the creature could reasonably interact with (such as opening an unlocked door, drawing or stowing a weapon, or retrieving a small item).
Harmonic Strike. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within 5 feet of the triggering creature. On a hit, the target takes force damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die {{scalevalue}} + Charisma Modifier.
Harmonic Mend. One creature within 5 feet of the manifestation regains hit points equal to your Bardic Inspiration die {{scalevalue}}. A creature can benefit from Harmonic Mend only once per turn.
Level 6: Songwoven Casting
Your movement and magic flow together as part of the same harmony. When you cast a bard cantrip as your action, you can make one weapon attack as part of the same action. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.
Level 6: Resonant Manifestation
Your magic now carries a second note within the Song.
When you cast a bard cantrip that deals damage or forces a creature to make a saving throw, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to create a resonant wave that follows the spell.
Choose one creature affected by the cantrip. That creature experiences an additional effect:
- The target takes force damage equal to the Bardic Inspiration die {{scalevalue}}.
- If the target is Large or smaller, it must succeed a DC {{savedc:str}}Strength saving throw or be pushed 5 feet away or knocked prone (your choice).
This effect occurs immediately after the cantrip resolves. You can use this feature only once per turn
Level 14: Step into the Song
You no longer merely perceive the Song of Creation—you exist within it, your actions resonating as part of its living harmony.
As a bonus action, you enter a state of perfect resonance for 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
While in this state:
- You have advantage on Wisdom (Insight), Wisdom (Perception), and Intelligence (Arcana) checks.
- The first time on each of your turns that you deal damage to a creature with a bard cantrip, you can roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, you regain one expended use of your Bardic Inspiration. (this feature cannot exceed your maximum Bardic Inspiration uses).
- Once per turn, when spend a Bardic Inspiration when you have stepped into the Song, you also gain a faint harmonic echo that allows you to reduce the damage from the next successful melee attack against you by 1d6, until the start of your next turn. (No reaction required.)
