Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Warrior of the Awakened Soul walk the razor’s edge between body and spirit, pursuing a state of absolute awareness born through pain, focus, and relentless combat. These warriors believe that true strength is not found in discipline alone, but in the moment the soul awakens under overwhelming pressure.

Through devastating strikes and heightened spiritual perception, they learn to sense the essence of living beings, reading the emotions and intentions hidden beneath flesh and words. Each perfectly timed impact pushes them deeper into a transcendent state where body, mind, and soul move as one.

As battle intensifies, the Awakened Soul enters a deadly flow of combat, chaining impossible blows together with terrifying precision. Their critical strikes are not accidents, but flashes of perfect harmony between instinct and willpower.

To outsiders, these monks appear almost supernatural, warriors whose spirits burn brighter with every clash, refusing to fall even against impossible odds.

Level 3: Awakened Impact

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can enter an awakened state as a bonus action.

For 1 minute:

  • your unarmed strikes score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
  • once on each of your turns, when you hit with an unarmed strike, you can turn that hit into a critical hit.

After you score a critical hit this way, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Level 3: Overflowing Vitality

Also at 3rd level, your critical strikes revitalize your body.

When you score a critical hit with an unarmed strike, you can expend one of your Hit Point Dice and regain hit points equal to:

1d8 + your Monk level

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 6: Soul Perception

Starting at 6th level, you can focus your awareness to perceive the spiritual essence of living beings.

As a bonus action, until the end of your next turn, you gain the following benefits:

  • You know the location of all living creatures within 30 feet of you that aren’t behind total cover.
  • You can sense the emotional nature of a creature’s spirit:

    • emotionally detached or unreadable spirits appear darkened.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per long rest.

Level 6: Risking Guard

Until the start of your next turn:

  • you take a -2 penalty to your Armor Class;
  • your unarmed strikes score a critical hit on a roll of 18–20 instead of 19–20.

You can use this feature once per turn.

Level 11: Soul Divergence

Starting at 11th level, your critical strikes violently disrupt the spiritual balance of your enemies.

  • The target cannot take reactions.
  • The target’s speed becomes 0.
  • The target has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes.
  • The next attack against the target has advantage.

In addition, your critical hits with unarmed strikes deal extra force damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Level 17: Perfect Awakening

At 17th level, you achieve a state of absolute spiritual synchronization, allowing your strikes to transcend mortal limits.

As a bonus action, you can enter a state of Perfect Awakening for 1 minute. While in this state, you gain the following benefits:
