Base Class: Fighter

Duelist Prowess
3rd-Level Duelist Feature
Starting at the 3rd level, you begin to tap slightly into your style to improve combat wise. You gain the following benefits:
- With the Dueling Fighting Style, it is entirely different and now states: "When you are wielding a weapon in one hand only and no other weapons, you gain a bonus to damage rolls with that weapon equal to your proficiency bonus.".
- While wielding a melee weapon with one hand, you have the Finesse property on it.
- You add your proficiency bonus to your Initiative checks.
Duelist Dice
3rd-Level Duelist Feature
When obtaining this subclass, you know you have to take a gamble for the bouts you take on and it shows at 3rd level and onwards. At the start of 3rd level, you gain a special pool of dice known as Duelist Dice; you have a number of them equal to double your proficiency bonus. You can regain all uses on a long rest or regain a certain amount of them through sacrificing a bonus action and a hit die to apply the result to the pool.
They start as a d6 and evolving in later levels, a d8 at 7th level, d10 at 15th level. These dice can be used for these particular abilities below.
- Duelist's Challenge. Sacrificing one Duelist Dice and an action, you may issue a challenge against a single target within 30 feet that you can see. That target must make a Charisma save (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier) or be forced to engage you in combat. You gain advantage on melee attacks against that target, but all other foes (except your challenge target) gain advantage on attacks against you. If your target does not engage you (by making their save) or exits combat, you may drop your challenge without using an action. You may not change your challenge.
- Duelist Deduction. As a reaction to taking damage, you can sacrifice up to a number of dice equal to your proficiency bonus and roll those dice. The result of the die (or dice) applies a damage reduction. Afterwards, you move your movement speed away from the attacker.
- Definite Strike. When you make an attack roll with your weapon, you can sacrifice up to your proficiency bonus Duelist Die. Applying a bonus to your Attack Roll equal to a roll of your Duelist Die and apply the Duelist Dice you sacrificed to the damage roll of the attack.
Duelist Damnation
3rd-Level Duelist Feature
Ain't no way you're going to let an opponent get way from you easily. Upon 3rd level, when an enemy or hostile target within five times your proficiency bonus passes by you, you can use a reaction to reduce their movement speed by 15 feet.
If the enemy or hostile target has their movement halved, their speed is reduced to 0 instead.
Riposte
7th-Level Duelist Feature
At 7th level, when an enemy or hostile target misses, you may make an immediate attack against your attack as part of your reaction.
Remarkable Athlete
10th-Level Duelist Feature
Starting at 10th level, you can add half your proficiency bonus (round up) to any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution check or saving throw.
In addition, you can use Acrobatics or Athletics for Jumping and it doesn't count towards your total amount of movement.
Opportune Strike
15th-Level Duelist Feature
At 15th level, you learn how to identify and exploit flaws in your enemies’ defenses. You gain advantage on opportunity attack rolls and gain a bonus to damage on opportunity attacks equal to your proficiency bonus.
Improved Riposte
18th-Level Duelist Feature
Upon getting better at breaching defenses and knocking your opponents off at 18th level, you can utilize a Duelist Die to make an attack against a target if they miss and without needing to use an action. However, the Duelist Die puts a penalty for the attack roll and if you successfully hit, you deal an additional amount of damage equal to double your proficiency bonus. If you miss, you take damage equal to the result plus your proficiency bonus.
