Base Class: Fighter
"**** you! I am Valencina della Famiglia Bognatelli...! I refuse to rot in this ******* dump!"
As a member of the Thumb, Respect is the only thing that matters to you, and by respect, I mean Respecting Authority. Speaking out of line to a member higher on the ranks of the Thumb could mean massive punishment. You, by some way or another, also have a relic that gives you something similar to Precognition.
Sottocapo - Level 3
"What'd I say? I can handle you as long as I've got this eye."
Eye of Odin - Precognition
You gain proficiency in Insight and Perception.
You have 3 charges of Precognition. When an attack were to hit you, you can choose to expend 1 charge of Precognition to add 1d6 to your AC until the end of the current creature's turn.
If the attack still hits you after using this feature, or if you expend your last charge, your Eye overheats.
When Eye of Odin overheats, You immediately take 1d4 fire damage and you cannot use Precognition while overheated.
At the end of your third turn, the overheat ends and you regain all expended charges.
At level 10, your Precognition charges increase to 5.
At level 18, you add 1d8 to your AC instead of 1d6.
Respect the Thumb!
You gain the 'Bad Reputation' feature from the Sailor background. If you already have the Bad Reputation feature, the crimes people are too afraid to report you for increase from Misdemeanors to Gross Misdemeanors.
Additionally, you gain proficiency in Intimidation. If you are already proficient, you gain expertise instead.
When you make a Charisma (Intimidation) check against a creature that recognizes your reputation, you can add your Strength modifier to the roll.
(Dm's Note; just because people won't report them doesn't mean authorities won't come after them if they're spotted committing a crime, or that blacksmith that's actually a level 15 battle master fighter won't beat their ass)
Palermitan Dueling Style
You gain the Two-Weapon fighting style if you do not have it already. If you already have Two-Weapon fighting, choose a different fighting style.
Any weapon you wield that lacks the heavy property gains the finesse property while you are wielding it. This benefit does not apply to versatile weapons wielded with two hands.
Ignition - Level 7
"What, having a hard time landing a- Shit!"
I'll burn a hole through you!
When dealing damage with a weapon with the Versatile or Finesse property, deal bonus fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
Dangerous Game
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can designate it as your Game Target (no action required). You can only have one Game Target at a time.
Your Game Target is marked until it drops to 0 hit points, you are incapacitated, or you choose a new target.
You gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls against the Game Target, If your Game Target makes an attack that does not include you as a target, it has disadvantage on that attack.
When landing a critical hit against your Game Target, or Killing your game target, regain 1 Precognition charge.
At level 15, the damage bonus against your Game Target increases to 3.
The Duel Escalates - Level 10
"Feeling confident today? Then parry this, *******!"
Accelerating Future
When a creature misses you with an attack, you gain a +1 bonus to the damage of your next successful weapon attack, up to a maximum bonus of +3.
The bonus applies to all damage dice of that attack (Not flat damage).
This bonus lasts until the end of your next turn.
Once you hit with an attack, the bonus resets to 0.
Try Parrying this, *******!
When you make a weapon attack, you can replace the attack roll with forcing the target to make a Dexterity saving throw.
The DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice). On a failed save, the attack hits and deals damage as normal, and on a successful save, the attack misses.
La Spada di Palermo - Level 15
"I'll be damned before I let you ruin this! Not after toiling like a goddamn dog for decades, climbing up the ranks...!"
Shin - Class, Respect, Authority
You gain Shin when you reduce your Game Target to 0 hit points, or you are reduced to half your maximum hit points or lower for the first time in a combat
Once you gain Shin, it lasts until the end of the encounter (when initiative ends). You can only gain Shin once per combat.
While you have Shin:
Your movement speed increases by 15 feet.
You reduce all damage you take by your proficiency bonus (minimum of 1 damage taken).
When you roll for Precognition, you can treat any roll of 1 or 2 as a 3.
When you regain a Precognition charge, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
You cannot drop below 40% of your max health before you gain Shin.
Evade and Counter
When using your Precognition feature during your turn and causing an attack to miss, you may make 1 melee weapon attack against the creature.
Disposal - Level 18
"'I'm sick and tired of Ticket and her meddling fools - to hell with you all!"
"Yeah, I hate you all! The damn Famiglia, you, and Ticket, too!"
Disposal
You can expend all Precognition charges to use a powerful ability.
Disposal;
As an action, you expend all remaining Precognition charges and target one creature you can see within your weapon’s range. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw.
The DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier
On a failed save, the target takes (Precognition Charges consumed x2)d8 fire damage, plus two rolls of your weapon’s damage dice.
On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage.
If the target is your Game Target, it has a -2 penalty to the saving throw.
After using this skill, you immediately enter Overheat, taking 2d6 fire damage instead of the normal damage.
If this attack reduces a creature to 0 hit points, you regain 2 Precognition charges. If the creature was your Game Target, you instead regain all Precognition charges, and can immediately designate a new Game Target.
You do not enter Overheat if you recovered Precognition Charges by using this ability.
