Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Rivalry are generally gladiators trained to kill a particular type of enemy.

Bonus Proficiencies

Starting at 3rd level, you have proficiency with Survival, Animal Handling, Perception, and one weird weapon- this could be a random object that you've made into a weapon, such as a steel banjo, or an actual weapon that's simply unusual like a trident, net, or lance used solely on foot. If it is a strange item turned into a weapon, work with your DM to figure out its stats.

Nemesis

Beginning at 3rd level, you have significant experience studying, tracking, hunting, and even talking to a certain type of enemy. Choose a type of favored enemy: aberrations, beasts, celestials, constructs, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, giants, monstrosities, oozes, plants, or undead. Alternatively, you can select two races of humanoid (such as gnolls and orcs) as favored enemies.

You have advantage on Deception checks to trick your favored enemies, as well as on Intelligence checks to recall information about them. When you gain this feature, you also learn one language of your choice that is spoken by your favored enemies, if they speak one at all.

Vital Riposte

Starting at 6th level you have learned to taunt an enemy of your choice to attack you and search out weaknesses in their attacks. During your turn you can goad your enemy using an inspiration die. You must roll a Deception vs their insight bonus + 10. If you succeed they must attempt to attack you their next available turn with disadvantage. For any attack during the round that the goaded enemy attempts on you, you can make an attack of opportunity on them as long as you have not expended your reactions. Also you gain one additional reaction you may use during a round and gain another starting at 14th level.

Insult to Injury

Starting at 14th level you have learned to manipulate your enemies into humiliating failure. After goading an enemy with vital riposte you can choose to use your reaction to cause them to critically fail instead an attack of opportunity, One time per long rest. When you do so you roll your inspiration die and whatever result you get is the new critical fail range for your opponents attacks for example if you rolled a 6 for bardic inspiration numbers 1-6 on the enemies attack dies for that round are considered critical failures and roll on the critical fumble chart as normal.
