Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

As a Hard Boiled Rogue, you've broken away from the criminal lifestyle expected of you and decided instead to serve the law. Or perhaps you've always been on the side of justice and in your years of service you have learned the intricacies of the criminal underworld, adapting to use their own roguish tactics against them.

A rough and tumble, no-nonsense kind of lawman, you rely on your keen eye and slick words to solve the tough cases. You get a bonus to investigation and perception.

Big Iron

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the use of one handed firearms, in addition you may use the bonus action granted by your CUNNING ACTION feature to use the RELOAD action.

Principles of Detection

When examining a scene where you expect recent activity has taken place, on a successful investigation check you can spend a few minutes to reconstruct a probable sequence of events, the accuracy of which dependent on the level of success of the investigation check.

The Hard Goodbye

Using this feature, you fire all remaining rounds of ammunition remaining in your firearm at a single target. Roll a standard attack roll against the target's armor class. On a successful hit, roll damage for every shot fired, on a failed hit, roll for half the shots. Sneak attack rules still apply. Once this feature has been used it cannot be used again until the end of a short rest.

One Good Turn

When an attacker that you can see targets you for an attack, instead of using UNCANNY DODGE you can choose to use your reaction to take a preemptive strike on the attacker.

Call it a Hunch

Once during your turn in combat, you can use a bonus action to read the actions of one target of your choice. You use your sharp instincts to develop a hunch, detailing what actions the target plan to make on their next turn. If you are targeting an enemy, the DM will tell you the intended course of action the enemy would be making on its next turn. Outside of combat, you can formulate a hunch as to the next probable course of action an NPC may take.
