Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The domain of Retribution is chosen by some of those who follow gods of justice and vengeance, such as Hoar, Sargonnas, Trithereon, or Tyr, or even an archdevil such as Asmodeus, swiftly sending souls to a deserved punishment. These Clerics of Retribution believe in an immediate consequence for wrongdoing, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, and many work in collaboration with those who enforce the laws of local governance, though others engage in what is seen by most as vigilantism, pursuing those who slip between the fingers of the law or are ignored out of willful negligence.

Bonus Proficiency

1st-level Retribution Domain feature

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons.

Blow of Rebuke

1st-level Retribution Domain feature

Divine vigilance enables you to punish those who harm you or your allies as soon as they have struck. When a creature you can see within 5 feet of you hits with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to immediately make a melee weapon attack against the creature. On a hit, the creature takes normal damage plus psychic damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Blessing of Retribution

2nd-level Retribution Domain feature

You can use your Channel Divinity to empower others to wreak vengeance on their malefactors. As an action, you present your holy symbol and choose a number of creatures within 30 feet of you that you can see, up to a number equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one). For 1 minute, whenever one of the chosen creatures is attacked or damaged by another creature that they can see, they gain advantage on their next attack roll against the attacker before the end of the chosen creature's next turn.

Channel Divinity: Visions of Reckoning

6th-level Retribution Domain feature

At 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to fill a creature's mind with an overwhelming sense of guilt, weakening their defenses against reprisal. As an action, you present your holy symbol and choose a creature you can see within 60 feet of you, which must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or be frightened of you for 1 minute. While frightened in this way, the creature gains vulnerability to one damage type of your choice, chosen by you when you use this Channel Divinity option. At the end of each of the affected creature's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the condition on a success.

Divine Strike

8th-level Retribution Domain feature

You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 psychic damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Justice for the Wronged

17-level Retribution Domain feature

Your divine call to retribution grants you strength to resist attacks. Starting at 17th level, immediately after you take damage that reduces you to half your hit point maximum or lower, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to your level, and for 1 minute, you have resistance to all damage.

You can use this feature once, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
