"... Not even going to write that down. That's a Summary Execution!"

... Okay I'm going to be real with whoever is reading this, I have no clue how to write a description for this subclass that's more unique than... The entire lore for Matthias...

You are a member of the Middle, you punch stuff I guess. Oh and you do stuff like Vengeance or something.

Middle's Grudge - Level 3

(Optional Feature) Laevateinn
REMOVED! Why? Because I made a new subclass more focused on it! It's called "Middle Sibling - [Lævateinn]". It's more focused on Mattaias' shtick, and can even kill allies at level 18!

Middle Enhancement Tattoos
When you hit with a melee attack or unarmed strike, you deal extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

The Middle's Chains
While you are unarmored, the Slashing and Piercing damage you take is reduced by your proficiency bonus. You AC while not wearing armor equals (10 + Your strength modifier + Your constitution modifier).

Vengeance of the Middle
When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against the creature that hit you.

Middle's Vengeance - Level 7

Vengeance Tattoos - Promised Suffering
When you take damage from a creature, you gain 1 Vengeance Tattoo (maximum of 3).
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack or unarmed strike, you deal extra damage equal to your Vengeance Tattoos, and then all stacks are removed.

Vengeance mark
When a creature damages you, it gains 1 Vengeance Mark (maximum of 3).
When you hit a creature with Vengeance Mark, you deal additional bludgeoning damage equal to its Vengeance Marks, and then all marks on it are removed.

Additional Fighting Style
You can choose another Fighting Style. If you do not want to take a fighting style, instead you may choose to increase one of your ability scores by 1.
This feature is repeated at level 15.

Big Brother - Level 10

Domineer
When a creature hits you with an attack and deals damage equal to or less than twice your proficiency bonus, you can use your reaction to deal psychic damage to that creature equal to your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.

Brush it off

When you are subjected to the blinded, charmed, frightened, poisoned, or restrained condition, you can use your reaction to end that condition on yourself.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Summary Execution - Level 15

Complete and Total Extermination

When you gain Vengeance Tattoos, you also track the total number gained. When this total reaches 10, you can use your action to unleash a devastating burst of force.
Each creature of your choice within 20 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier).

On a failed save, a creature takes 6d8 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone.
On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and is not knocked prone.
On a critical Failure, the creature is launched 30 feet into the air.

After using this feature, your total accumulated Vengeance Tattoos resets to 0.

If an ally creature you can see within 30 feet of you is reduced to 0 hit points, you can immediately use this feature as a reaction, without needing to meet its normal requirement.
Once you use this reaction, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Payback!
When you use your Vengeance of the Middle reaction, you can make one additional melee attack as part of that reaction.

Enough Games - Level 18

"These toys... ain't fun no more!"

Ridiculous Grit
"I just gotta pull as much power as I can from these tattoos and grit my teeth!"

After using 'Complete and Total Extermination' for the first time in an encounter, gain 'Ridiculous Grit' until the end of combat.
While you have Ridiculous Grit, the damage you take is reduced by (your constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) {this cannot reduce an attack's damage below 1}, and your melee attacks deal bonus damage equal to your constitution modifier.

The Middle - Family
Your Vengeance of the Middle feature no longer uses a reaction (using Payback! to make a 2nd attack does), but you can only use your Vengeance of the Middle feature a number of times per round equal to (your proficiency bonus /2), and you can attempt use Vengeance of the Middle when an ally gets hit, moving up to half your speed toward the attacker without provoking opportunity attacks beforehand.
Vengeance Mark and Vengeance Tattoo have their max stacks increased to 4.
