Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who follow the Path of the Ashen Titan are not merely berserkers. They are war-made legends, warriors whose fury carries the weight of giants, ruined gods, and ancient vengeance.
When their rage takes hold, their bodies swell with impossible strength. Their weapons become extensions of their wrath, flying from their hands and returning like chained instruments of punishment. Enemies are pulled, broken, thrown down, and forced to face a warrior who feels less like a mortal and more like a battlefield catastrophe.
Some Ashen Titans inherit giant blood. Others are cursed by old divine wars, scarred by dead gods, or chosen by powers that should have stayed buried. Whatever the source, their rage is not clean. It is heavy, violent, and mythic.
At their height, these barbarians tower over the battlefield as living colossi, striking down foes with the force of a siege weapon and the fury of a god-slayer.
Level 3: Titan Rage
When you enter your rage, your body swells with brutal titan-force.
While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You become Large if there is enough room for you to do so. If there is not enough room, your size does not change.
- Your melee reach increases by 5 feet.
- You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
- You also count as one size larger when grappling or shoving a creature.
- Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a Strength-based weapon attack, you deal an extra 1d6 damage.
When you enter your rage, choose one of the following damage types for this extra damage: fire, cold, lightning, thunder, or force. The chosen damage type lasts until your rage ends.
Becoming Large through this feature does not increase your weapon’s damage dice.
War-Born Presence
Your presence carries the weight of violence, discipline, and battlefield command.
You gain proficiency in either Athletics or Intimidation.
If you already have proficiency in both skills, choose one of those skills. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make using the chosen skill.
Level 6: Chainbound Wrath
While raging, weapons you wield become extensions of your fury.
Choose one melee weapon you are holding when you enter your rage. Until your rage ends, that weapon gains the following benefits:
- The weapon gains the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
- Immediately after you make a thrown attack with the weapon, it returns to your hand.
- The weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.
- When you hit with the weapon, you may choose for its damage to become the damage type you chose for your Titan Rage feature.
Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with this weapon, you may force the target to make a Strength saving throw.
The save DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier.
On a failed save, choose one of the following effects:
- You pull the target up to 10 feet toward you.
- You knock the target prone.
A creature more than one size larger than you automatically succeeds on this saving throw.
Level 10: God-Breaker Roar
Your rage becomes a weapon of fear.
As a bonus action while raging, you unleash a terrifying roar. Choose any number of creatures within 30 feet of you that can hear you.
Each chosen creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Chain-bound Wrath save DC.
On a failed save, a creature is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
While frightened this way, if the creature is within your reach, its speed is reduced by 10 feet.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 14: God-Slayer’s Ascent
Your rage reaches mythic scale.
When you enter your rage, you may unleash your full titan form for 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
While in this form, you gain the following benefits:
- You become Huge if there is enough room for you to do so. If there is not enough room, you become Large instead. If there is not enough room to become Large, your size does not change.
- Your melee reach increases by an additional 5 feet.
- The extra damage from your Titan Rage feature becomes 2d6 instead of 1d6.
- When a creature within your reach hits you or an ally with an attack, you may use your reaction to make one weapon attack against that creature.
Also, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points while raging, you may immediately move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Becoming Huge or Large through this feature does not increase your weapon’s damage dice.
