Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The Darkness domain is concerned with night and the unknown. They often worship gods of mystery. The three most common deities of this domain are the Raven Queen, Lolth, and Deep Duerra, but there are many others.

This subclass is a Quixotic-Dragon production.

Bonus Cantrip

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you learn the Minor Illusion cantrip. This does not count against the number of cantrips you can know.

Born of Shadow

When you use a darkness-creating ability as listed here, or cast a spell that creates darkness from your domain spell list, you and your allies can see through the darkness created, and any light sensitivity you have is nullified for the duration.

Shadow Cloak

Starting at 1st level, you can call a disorienting shroud of shadow to aid your attacks. When you use the attack action on your turn, you can impose advantage on your own attack roll. A creature with blindsight is unaffected, and you roll as normal. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier, and regain all uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Shadows of Dusk

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to harness darkness, welcoming the shadows and dealing necrotic damage to your foes.

As an action, you present your holy symbol, creating magical darkness within 30 feet of you. Additionally, each hostile creature within 30 feel of you must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes necrotic damage equal to 2d10 + your cleric leveI on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that has total cover from you is not affected.

Improved Cloak

Starting at 6th level, you can apply your Shadow cloak to an ally within 30 feet who makes an attack action.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Vortex of Shadow

Starting at 17th level, you can use your action to activate an aura of darkness that lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it using another action. You absorb all forms of light-magical and nonmagical- in a 60-foot radius, leaving magical darkness in its wake, and nonmagical light 30 feet beyond that, leaving dim light behind. Your enemies in the magical darkness have disadvantage on saving throws against any spell that deals fire or radiant damage.
