Base Class: Monk

Warrior of the chain monks convert focus into psionic energy for the purpose of summoning psionic chains to defend and attack as needed in the service of all people in need. some have used these relatively new techniques to subjugate and destroy corrupting the intended purpose of the way. 

Level 3: Mental chains

At the start of your turn, you can expend 1 Focus Point to imbue yourself with Psionic energy. The energy lasts for 10 minutes or until you have the Incapacitated condition. You gain the following benefits while this feature is active.

Reach. When you make an Unarmed Strike, your reach is 10 feet greater than normal, as Psionic energy extends from you.

Psionic Chain Strikes. Whenever you hit with your Unarmed Strike, you can cause it to deal your choice of bludgeoning, force or psychic damage rather than its normal damage type. When you deal damage with it, you can also force the target to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you can move the target up to 10 feet toward or away from you, as elemental energy swirls around it. While active the Psionic chains grant a Climbing speed. They can grab objects, NPCs or allies in range. strength checks used with the psionic chains add wisdom modifier. the way of the chain monk can choose to deal no damage but instead grapple a target. Upon rolling a critical hit the caster can deal damage as a normal critical hit and attempt a grapple with the same attack. Once grappled by the Psionic chains, the way of the chain monk can pull the target closer for a special attack dealing normal unarmed strike damage + wis, the attack roll has advantage and the DC to pull is dice check (DC) is the targets athletic skill vs the way of the chain monks wis mod + proficiency + D20. If the way of the chain monk uses the Psionic chains to Grapple or pull an ally, then the way of the chain monk can choose to deal no damage. The Psionic chains can catch incoming attacks when combined with the deflect attacks monk feature up to 15 feet away possibly protecting allies.

Level 3: Communicate

You know the Message spell. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for it.

Level 6: Nimble chains

swing : the Psionic chains can now be extended to twice the distance as long as the object the warrior of the chain monk is attempting to grab is not living but is capable of supporting the monks weight for the purposes of swinging on the chain as if a vine or whip. This feature cannot be used for combat purposes. This feature can be used as long as the psionic chains are still active. The distance the warrior of the chain monk can swing in this way cannot exceed the movement rate but the dash action can be used to double the distance as needed.

disarm : the psionic chains can now be used to grab a weapon or spell focus or other object from the targets hands on a successful check. The dice check (DC) is the targets athletic skill vs the warrior of the chain monks wis mod + proficiency + D20. the Disarming happens after the target after a successful attack roll has been made. 

chain shield : as a bonus action a warrior of the chain monk can spend 1 focus point to spin the psionic chain in their offhand to grant a +2 AC for a duration of one round. chain shield also increases chances of monk feature defect attacks adding in the chain monks wisdom modifier. 

Level 11: bared mind

You have Resistance to Psychic damage. Moreover, if you start your turn with the charmed or frightened condition, you can expend 1 focus point (no action required) and end every effect on yourself giving you those conditions.

Psionic Epitome

While your psionic Attunement is active, you also gain the following benefits.

Damage Resistance. You gain Resistance to one of the following damage types of your choice: bludgeoning, slashing, piercing, force or psychic. At the start of each of your turns, you can change this choice.

Destructive Stride. When you use your Step of the Wind, your Speed increases by 20 feet until the end of the turn. For that duration, any creature of your choice takes damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die when you enter a space within 5 feet of it. The damage type is your choice of bludgeoning, force or psychic damage. A creature can take this damage only once per turn.

Empowered Strikes. Once on each of your turns, you can deal extra damage to a target equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die when you hit it with an Unarmed Strike. The extra damage is the same type dealt by that strike.

Level 17: Psionic Epitome

While your Elemental Attunement is active, you also gain the following benefits.
