Base Class: Wizard
Core playstyle is to combine a number of spells together to create a new spell on a scroll. Only spells that reference energy or matter can be combined. Each spells effect is decided by your DM.
Helix Script
You can combine two spells together to create a new one. Spell level increases based off what you combine i.e. a level 1 spell combined with a level 3 spell now becomes a level 4 spell. Spells cannot exceed level 9 in total. Spell scroll cost follows the standard rules but has an additional cost. For example, when you combine a level 1 spell with another level 1 to create a level 2, this would be your cost to transcribe it onto a spell scroll 25 + 25 + 100 = 150. The formula for this is cost of spell one plus the cost of spell two plus the cost of the new spell. Spells inscribed on a scroll can be added to the spell book at normal cost. Each spells effect is decided by your DM. To combine the spells you must succeed on an Arcana check using the following formula: 15 + the level of spell one + the level of spell two + the level of the new spell. For example, combining Eldritch Blast with Fire Bolt would require a DC 15 Arcana check and cost 45 gold to conduct the attempt then an additional 50 gold to copy the new spell into your spell book resulting in 95 gold spent for one cantrip. Gold is spent regardless if the combination is successful.
Combined Spell Proficiency
You've become proficient in combining your spells that you can add your Intelligence modifier to spells that you have combined. (Not sure how to program this in DNDBeyond so remember to add this manually)
Combined Spell Cost Reduction
You now only pay the final cost to inscribe the combined spell on the scroll. If you are making a level three spell you will only pay 150 gold to inscribe it.
Triple Combination
You can now combine three spells.
