Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron does not shape you into a single instrument or guide you toward a single purpose. Instead, your patron preserves the memories, talents, and traditions of countless heroes, artisans, scholars, and wanderers who came before. Through your pact, you become a living vessel for these perfected identities, known as Mantles.

Each Mantle embodies a complete role, carrying with it its own arms, armor, training, and magical aptitude. By assuming a Mantle, you allow your patron to temporarily reshape your form and instincts, letting you stand as a duelist one day, a tracker the next, or an arcanist when knowledge is required. Though each Mantle is distinct, they are all expressions of the same otherworldly power, lending you exactly the identity the moment demands.

Level 3: Mantle of Many

You learn to assume Mantles, magical identities bestowed by your patron.

Each Mantle embodies a complete role, granting its own equipment, training, and magical aptitude. When you assume a Mantle, any armor you are wearing and any weapons you are wielding are magically replaced by the armor and weapons of that Mantle. The replaced items are stored in an extradimensional space tied to your patron and are returned when you end the Mantle, which you can do as an action.

You become proficient with the tools included in your current Mantle for as long as it is active. You gain proficiency in the skill listed for your current Mantle. While that Mantle is active, you have Expertise in that skill. You also gain the listed cantrip. The cantrip counts as a Warlock cantrip for you and uses Charisma as its spellcasting ability. While a Mantle is active, you can use the Mastery property of any weapon granted by that Mantle.

You know four Mantles of your choice from the list below. You learn two additional Mantles at 6th level, two additional Mantles at 10th level, and two additional Mantles at 14th level. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one Mantle you know with another Mantle from this feature.

When you finish a Long Rest, you can assume any Mantle you know. Changing from one Mantle to another at any other time requires 1 hour of uninterrupted ritual focus.

Level 3: Mantle of Many Spells

The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Mantle of Many Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Mantle of Many Spells
Warlock Level Spells
3 Expeditious Retreat, Feather Fall, Misty Step, Rope Trick
5 Gaseous Form, Fly
7 Dimension Door, Freedom of Movement
9 Passwall, Teleportation Circle

Level 3: Martial Foundation

When you choose this subclass at level 3, your patron instructs you in countless martial traditions. You gain proficiency with Medium Armor, Heavy Armor, Shields, and Martial Weapons.

Level 6: Practiced Mantling

When you reach level 6, your mastery over your Mantles deepens, allowing you to embody each role with near-flawless precision.

While a Mantle is active, whenever you make an ability check using the skill granted by that Mantle, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.

Level 10: Swift Mantling

By level 10, the rituals that bind you to your Mantles grow more efficient as your patron's authority over your forms deepens. The time required to change from one Mantle to another is reduced to 10 minutes of uninterrupted ritual focus.

Level 14: Apex Mantling

Level 14 brings mastery over the boundaries between your Mantles, allowing your patron's power to overwrite your form in an instant.

You can assume a Mantle you know as a Bonus Action.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest unless you expend a Pact Magic spell slot (no action required) to restore your use of it.
