Base Class: Bard
The College of Echoes teaches three lessons: sound is a deadly weapon, music is the key to the soul, and with great power comes even greater debauchery. As they study at the college, bards learn to harness the power of reverberations. They are even able to ricochet notes off walls with deadly precision, almost like an archer loosing arrows. Only, instead of arrows, it is sound that pierces the targets unfortunate enough to find themselves on the wrong side of a student of the College of Echoes.
Echoed Shot
Starting at 3rd level, when you join the College of Echoes, you gain the ability to make an Echoed Shot. As a bonus action, immediately after you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can unleash an echo of the attack. The echoed shot deals an additional 2d4 Thunder damage to the target.
Ricocheted Note
Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your musical process to ricochet notes not even a wall is needed to do this a even air can be used to cause a ricochet, when you would miss with an attack you can expend one of your uses of bardic inspiration to instead hit, dealing thunder damage equal to the roll of your bardic inspiration die instead of the normal damage of the attack
Echo Companion
At 6th level, you create an echo companion that is seen as a shadow with you, using an action you can summon the echo until the start of your next turn, whenever you roll a bardic inspiration die, you may roll an additional at no cost, adding the total together, also while out of combat you can summon your Echo Companion for the duration of an hour as a physical manifstation of your musical talents that assits you with actions granting advantage when you use a skill you are proficient in or ability checks.
Reverberating Crecendo
Starting at 14th level, when you use either the Echoed Shot or Ricocheted Note features, your echo companion also grants advantage to both you and your allies within 5ft of you. In addition, you gain the following benefits:
- When you use Echoed Shot , its additional damage increases to 4d8 Thunder damage.
- When you use Ricocheted Note, you may roll 2d12 instead of your a Bardic Inspiration die, taking the higher result.
