Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Crimson Thrall have forsaken the typical paths of inner peace and harmony, instead binding themselves in service to a powerful vampire lord. In exchange for their loyalty and vitality, they are granted a pale reflection of their master's power, using a corrupted form of ki to drain the life from their foes and bend the weak-willed to their command.

Level 3: Sanguine Strikes

At 3rd level, your unarmed strikes are infused with a pale, necrotic energy. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can choose to deal necrotic damage instead of the normal damage type. Once per turn, when you deal necrotic damage with one of your unarmed strikes, you can regain hit points equal to half the necrotic damage dealt. This feature does not affect undead or constructs. At 11th level, once per turn, when you deal necrotic damage with an unarmed strike, you can now regain hit points equal to the full necrotic damage dealt (instead of half).

Level 3: Thrall's Charm

Your master's influence gives you a touch of their supernatural charm. You can use your ki to influence the minds of others. You can expend 1 ki point to cast the Charm Person spell. Your Monastic Tradition saving throw DC applies (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier).

Level 6: Unnatural Vitality

You gain proficiency in the Medicine skill. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make to stabilize a creature. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can use your reaction to expend 1 ki point to make a single unarmed strike against a creature within range. If the attack hits, you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt, potentially bringing you back into the fight.

Level 11: Spider's Kiss

You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. At 15th level, you can move along vertical surfaces and even upside down along ceilings, leaving your hands free, without falling during your move.

Level 17: Domineering Gaze (Aura of Dread)

Aura of Dread (17th level): As an action, you can expend 3 ki points to project an aura of fear in a 30-foot radius. Each creature hostile to you in the aura must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki save DC or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
