Build Your Arsenal To Vanquish Any Foe

Most fighter’s bond with their weapon is clear on the battlefield, but few have a bond that begins at the forge. Weaponsmiths know how to craft a weapon to their needs and adjust them just as quickly, creating an arsenal to arm themselves and further arm their militia.

Level 3: Choose Your Weapon

You gain proficiency with Smith’s Tools if you do not already. If you do, gain proficiency in artisan tools of your choice.

Level 3: Fit For a Foe

Whenever you take a long rest, you can use your Smith’s Tools to make your weapon suited for a foe. Choose a weapon you own and have weapon mastery with and choose a creature type. If you choose Humanoid, choose two subtypes of humanoids (such as Elf and Orc). When you hit a creature of the chosen type with the weapon, you ignore resistance to the weapon's damage. Creatures of the chosen type take additional damage from the weapon when you reach levels 5 (1d8), 11 (2d8), and 17 (3d8)

You can modify a number of weapons using this feature equal to your proficiency bonus. A weapon can only be modified by this feature once at a time.

Level 7: Master of the Blade

You can spend 8 hours crafting a weapon with Smith’s Tools. When you do you reduce the gold value cost of crafting the weapon by half, and you gain the benefits of a long rest. When you do, you can use the Fit For A Foe ability on it.

Additionally, weapons modified by Fit For A Foe become +1 weapons while modified. This ability becomes +2 at level 11, and +3 at level 15.

Level 10: Arms Race

When creatures of your choice use a weapon you’ve modified with Fit For A Foe, if they have weapon mastery with the chosen weapon, they gain the benefits of your Fit For A Foe ability. Additionally you make your weapons lighter than normal. Your speed increases while wielding a weapon you’ve modified by 10 feet.

Level 15: Know Thine Weapon

When you score a critical hit with a weapon modified by Fit For A Foe against the chosen creature type, you roll triple the dice instead.

Level 18: Lord of the Forge

Your mastery of weaponsmithy knows no bounds. You gain the following benefits.

Emperor’s Will. You have no limit to the number of weapons modified by Fit For A Foe. In addition, creatures of your choice wielding your modified weapons gain weapon mastery and proficiency if they don’t already have them.

Chariot’s Force. The Speed gained by Arms Race is increased to 20 feet, and creatures of your choice wielding your modified weapons gain the speed increase as well
