Base Class: Fighter
Master the Form of the Dragon
A Dragon Warrior practice a demanding martial discipline that treats two weapons as parts of a single flowing technique. In this heightened state, they become faster, harder to strike, and capable of overwhelming their foes with a relentless sequence of attacks. Mastering this discipline requires more than speed. A Dragon Warrior can draw a weapon in the instant before a blow lands, while the greatest practitioners can force their bodies onward even after their ordinary reserves are exhausted.
Level 3: Unarmored Defense
While you aren’t wearing armor or wielding a Shield, your base Armor Class equals 10 plus your Dexterity and Wisdom modifiers.
Level 3: Form of the Dragon
You can enter a heightened state of martial focus called Form of the Dragon. As a Bonus Action, you enter this form for 1 minute. As part of the same Bonus Action, you can draw one weapon. The form ends early if you have the Incapacitated condition or if you end it (no action required).
While the form is active and you are wielding one Melee weapon in each hand, neither of which has the Heavy, Reach, or Two-Handed property, you gain the following benefits:
- Your Armor Class increases by 1.
- Your Speed increases by 10 feet.
- When you take the Attack action and attack with one of the weapons, you can make one attack with the other weapon as a Bonus Action later on the same turn.
The Armor Class and Speed increase when you reach Fighter levels 10 (2 and 20), 18 (3 and 30).
You can enter your Form of the Dragon a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Level 7: Dragon's Resilience
Your heightened focus fortifies your body against harm. Whenever you enter your Form of the Dragon, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Fighter level plus your Wisdom modifier.
Level 10: Scale of the Dragon
You can draw your second weapon in the instant before an attack strikes you. When an attack roll would hit you, you can take a Reaction and expend one use of your Form of the Dragon to cause the attack to miss you instead.
You then enter your Form of the Dragon, or if the form is already active, its duration resets to 1 minute instead. When you enter the form using this Reaction, you can draw one weapon as part of the Reaction.
Level 15: The Will to Persevere
You can force your body to continue fighting after your ordinary reserves are spent. If you have no uses of your Form of the Dragon remaining, you can enter the form as a Bonus Action without expending a use.
When a Form of the Dragon entered in this way ends, you gain 1 Exhaustion level.
Level 18: Fury of the Dragon
Your mastery of paired weapons allows you to strike with extraordinary speed. When you make the Bonus Action attack granted by your Form of the Dragon, you can make two attacks instead of one.
