Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Dragon Style studied the techniques, strategies, forms, and attributes of Eastern dragons, applying their principles to martial arts. Unlike the Way of the Ascendant Dragon—where the practitioner's spirit resonates with draconic power (such as that of metallic and chromatic dragons)—this style drew inspiration from legends of wise, virtuous, and mystical dragons from the Far East to develop its techniques. It is a close-quarters fighting style that incorporates a wide array of kicks, sweeps, blocks, takedowns, and highly effective rapid strikes. When attacking, one moves like the wind; when defending, like a cloud; when standing firm, like iron; advancing like a tiger and retreating like a cat. The practitioner’s body must maintain a "dragon" form, training the wrists, shoulders, waist, and other joints. Movements are swift and fluid, with every strike finding its mark as the practitioner "waits for the attack, holds the attack, deflects the attack, and follows up with an attack." Grounded in a highly flexible foundation of dynamic footwork, powerful strikes, breathing techniques, and mental and physical sensitivity, the practitioner displays a strong, agile exterior while remaining calm and focused within.
Level 3: Teachings of the Dragon
At 3rd level, you have learned to be wise and perceptive like a legendary dragon, not easily deceived. You gain proficiency in the Insight and Perception skills.
Level 3: Dragon Style Adept
Also at 3rd level, as a practitioner of the Dragon Style, you gain the following benefits.
Flow Between Attack and Defense. You can take the Dodge action as part of the same Bonus Action used for your Flurry of Blows.
Defense-Breaking Sequence. Whenever you hit a creature with a melee attack roll, you have Advantage on the next melee attack roll you make against that same creature before the end of your next turn.
Level 6: Dragon's Mind
At 6th level, your focused mind and heightened senses grant you the following benefits.
Blindsight. You have Blindsight with a range of 10 feet.
Performance Focus. You can spend 1 Focus Point to cast the Enhance Ability spell on yourself without any components. You have Advantage on Constitution saving throws to maintain Concentration on this spell, and you can use a Bonus Action to change the chosen ability. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
Level 11: Improved Dragon Style
At 11th level, you have further advanced in the practice of this style and gained the following benefits.
Expanded Performance. When you cast Enhance Ability using the Performance Focus feature, you can spend 1 additional Focus Point to have the spell also grant you Advantage on saving throws associated with the chosen ability for the spell's duration.
Step Back and Press. Whenever you use the Dodge or Disengage action, the next melee attack you hit with before the end of your next turn deals extra Force damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die plus your Wisdom modifier. You can deal this extra damage only once per turn.
Level 17: Flow of the Furious Dragon
At 17th level, you can perform this style's most advanced technique. You can spend 5 Focus Points to cast the Steel Wind Strike spell without any components. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell. When you cast it this way, the spell gains the following modifications:
• When you miss an attack roll with the spell, the target takes half damage.
• Until the start of your next turn, you gain an AC bonus equal to the number of attacks from this spell that hit.
