Bonus Proficiencies
You gain proficiency with the electric guitar, bass guitar, or drum kit. If you wish, when you play a Judas Priest song, ethereal figures appear with the instruments you did not choose to gain proficiency with and play along.
Electric Eye
As an action, you may begin a song that can lasts for 3 minutes and 42 seconds. To perform this song, you must be able to play your instrument and sing at all times. When it is completed, you can choose one point you know about within a one-mile radius and is exposed to space. You get a snapshot of that location from a bird's eye view in a thirty-foot radius centered on the point you chose. Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again for 5 days.
Defenders of the Faith
Beginning at 6th level, as an action, you can start playing a song lasting 1 minute and 26 seconds. While this song is playing, up to 5 creatures you can see gain a +2 bonus to AC and gain 5 + your Charisma modifier temporary hit points. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Painkiller
You have finally uncovered the ultimate summon: you have command over the Painkiller. Starting at 14th level, as an action, you can start playing a song that lasts 6 minutes and 6 seconds. For the duration, can get assistance from the Painkiller. Over the duration, the following events happen (In sequence):
Terrifying Scream. The Painkiller emits a horrible screech from the sky on the first round of the summon. All hostile creatures within a 30 foot radius centered on a point you choose must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they are frightened for one minute. A creature may repeat the save once per turn, ending the condition on a success.
Ride the Metal Monster. The Painkiller lends you his motorcycle for the next 10 rounds(minute). Your speed increases to 100 feet if it wasn't already higher.
Breathing Smoke and Fire. The Painkiller Provides suppressive fire from above for the next 10 rounds. You can cast firebolt as a bonus action on each of your turns. When casted in this way, it originates from a point directly above the targeted creature.
Louder Than an Atom Bomb. The Painkiller hits top speed during a flyby of your enemies. All hostile creatures within 100 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be deafened for 1 minute.
Flying High on Rapture. The Painkiller gives you his other motorcycle for one minute. You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
Deadly Wheels. The Painkiller comes into view for the first time, driving over enemies. For the next minute, as a bonus action, you may deal 1d6 damage to an enemy you choose.
This is the Painkiller. The Painkiller goes all out for the last minute. Each round until the last one, you may choose any of the following effects (except for Louder Than an Atom Bomb or Terrifying Scream) to occur each round. On the last round, Louder Than an Atom Bomb and Terrifying Scream activate at the same time.

Posted Jul 23, 2026Hello other members of nerd.com! I created this subclass because none of the other Heavy Metal bard builds really represented one band. I will be making more of these at some point. For know, please let me know in the comments if I can improve anything(especially the Painkiller feature). I hope this gets you the loud adventure you always wanted!
