Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who follow the Path of the Lion’s Pride draw their rage not from raw bloodlust, but from the searing, uncompromising majesty of the sun. As their fury flares, their physical stature swells, their skin radiates blinding heat, and their confidence borderlines on godhood.
Solar vessel
When you enter a Rage, your body ignites with the blazing intensity of a sun. You gain the following benefits while raging:
- Searing Strikes: Once per turn when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you deal extra radiant damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus + your Constitution modifier.
- Solar Corona: You shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. Any enemy that starts its turn within 5 feet of you takes fire damage equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).
Level 3: Persona of the Sun & Shade
Persona of Sun & Shade
Your demeanor shifts dramatically depending on the presence of sunlight:
- Under Direct Sunlight: You have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation and Persuasion) checks and Strength checks.
- In Dim Light or Darkness: You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) and Charisma (Deception) checks.
Level 6: Cruel Sun
You can condense your blazing rage into a miniature, hovering orb of superheated plasma.
As a bonus action while raging, you manifest a Cruel Sun above your hand or weapon. As an action on the same turn or a subsequent turn while raging, you can hurl it at a point you can see within 60 feet, where it detonates in a 15-foot-radius sphere.
- Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (\text{DC} = 8 + \text{your Proficiency Bonus} + \text{your Constitution modifier}).
- On a failed save, a target takes 3\text{d}8 fire damage, or half as much on a successful save.
- The damage increases to 4\text{d}8 at 10th level and 5\text{d}8 at 14th level.
Level 10: Unshakable Pride
Your self-worth is absolute; pitying your enemies leaves no room for fear or mental manipulation.
- You are immune to being frightened and charmed while raging. If you are frightened or charmed when you enter a Rage, the effect immediately ends.
- When you make a Charisma (Intimidation) check, you can use your Strength modifier instead of Charisma, and you add your Rage Damage bonus to the total roll.
Level 14: The One
At the height of your power, you embody the absolute apex of solar strength.
Once per long rest, when you enter a Rage, you can ascend into The One state for 1 minute:
|
Absolute Might |
Melee weapon attacks deal maximum possible damage against objects and structures, and your attacks ignore fire resistance. |
|
Divine Flame |
Your Solar Corona radius increases to a 15-foot aura. Enemies starting their turn inside take fire damage equal to your Barbarian Level. |
|
Immovable Stance |
You cannot be knocked prone, pushed, or moved against your will by spell or physical force. |
