Base Class: Ranger
The Wayfarers of the Quiet Road are guardians of the hidden paths that bind the world together—mountain passes, forest trails, forgotten roads, and the narrow places where hope and disaster often meet. They are scouts, pathfinders, and watchful protectors who believe that the greatest victory is the battle that never has to be fought.
Rather than seeking glory through overwhelming force, these rangers master observation, preparation, and precision. They notice the bird that has stopped singing, the track that should not exist, or the silence that warns of an unseen threat. To a Wayfarer, every landscape tells a story, and every absence carries meaning.
Their arrows are guided not by hatred but by restraint. A well-placed shot can halt a charge, open an escape route, or end a conflict before lives are lost. Mercy is not weakness but discipline—the courage to protect others through wisdom, planning, and decisive action.
Wayfarers are often found where roads become uncertain and civilization gives way to the wild. They guide refugees across dangerous frontiers, dismantle ambushes before they spring, expose those who hide behind lies and false banners, and ensure that even in the darkest places, someone is quietly keeping watch.
Those who follow the Quiet Road understand that true guardianship is rarely celebrated. They leave behind no monuments or songs of conquest—only safe journeys, lives preserved, and the certainty that when hope seemed lost, someone had already prepared the way forward.
