Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Wizards of the School of Invisibility study the magic of the unseen. They learn to weave spells that leave no sound, no light, and no trace, turning themselves and their magic into living voids. Where other wizards command fire or force, you command absence.

Arcane Veil

2nd-level School of Invisibility feature

You have begun to master the art of pure absence. You gain the following benefits:

  • You can see anything that is invisible. You gain 120 feet of darkvision. You can see through magical darkness using your darkvision and you cannot be deafened or blinded by magic.
  • You do not suffer disadvantage on attack rolls against invisible creatures, and invisible creatures do not gain advantage on attack rolls against you solely because they are invisible.
  • You can ignore the verbal component requirement of any spell you cast.
  • When you cast a spell, you can choose to make all of its effects silent and to render any visible effects of the spell invisible.
  • Spells you cast that would make a target invisible do not require concentration.
  • When you affect a target with a spell that turns it invisible, you can choose which parts of the target (or of objects it is wearing or carrying) become invisible.
  • Spells you cast that normally target only creatures to turn them invisible can also target objects, and spells that normally target only objects can also target creatures.
  • You gain expertise in the Stealth skill.
  • Whenever any magic or spell turns you invisible, you can immediately make a Stealth check to hide.
  • If you cast a spell that turns a target invisible and has a casting time of 1 action, you can cast it as a bonus action instead.
  • You can take the Hide, Disengage, or Dash action as a bonus action.
  • If you hit a creature with a spell attack while you are hidden, the spell deals twice as much damage.
  • You can cast unseen servant at will without expending a spell slot.
  • While you are hidden, you have advantage on spell attack rolls, even if you would normally have disadvantage on the attack.

Persistent Absence

6th-level School of Invisibility feature

Your command over invisibility deepens and becomes almost instinctive. You gain the following benefits:

  • You can see into the Ethereal Plane.
  • You can cast invisibility and blink at will without expending a spell slot. You can cast blink as a bonus action.
  • While you are invisible, you gain the following benefits:
    • A bonus to your AC equal to your Intelligence modifier.
    • A +10 bonus to Stealth checks.
    • You can’t be tracked except by magical means, and you leave no tracks or other traces of your passage.
    • All creatures have disadvantage on ability checks made to detect you.

Absolute Veil

10th-level School of Invisibility feature

Even the most powerful senses struggle to pierce your concealment. You gain the following benefits:

  • You can cast greater invisibility at will without expending a spell slot.
  • While you are invisible, special senses such as blindsight, truesight, and tremorsense fail to detect you or anything you are wearing and carrying that is invisible. This includes sight granted by spells such as see invisibility. This effect is also applied to effects of spells that you make invisible. This benefit does not affect your own senses.
  • You have advantage on Stealth checks while you are invisible, even if you would have disadvantage.
  • You gain x-ray vision, allowing you to see through solid matter within 30 feet as if it were transparent (denser materials such as lead or thick metal still block your sight).

Living Void

14th-level School of Invisibility feature

You have become a true living absence—nearly impossible to detect, nearly impossible to harm, and free of the physical world’s constraints while unseen. You gain the following benefits:

  • No magic or spell can detect you while you are invisible or anything you are wearing and carrying that is invisible. This effect is also applied to effects of spells that you make invisible.
  • Spells and other magical effects that would end or undo invisibility caused by your spells have no effect.
  • While you are invisible, you have resistance to all damage. This resistance cannot be bypassed.
  • While you are invisible, you can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain, you gain a flying speed of 60 feet, and you can hover. You take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside an object.
  • When you cast a spell on yourself that turns a target invisible, the duration of the spell does not end as long as you maintain concentration on it.
  • You can cast etherealness at will without expending a spell slot, and you can cast it as a bonus action.
