Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Some kobolds do not merely revere dragons. They believe, with absolute and unwavering conviction, that they are dragons themselves.

These kobolds collect treasure, claim territory, speak of their nonexistent draconic lineage, and insist that every shiny object they encounter is a priceless relic of their ancient hoard.

For most, this is harmless delusion, but for a Paladin who swears the Oath of the False Wyrm, however, that delusion has become something more.

Level 3: Oath of the False Wyrm Spells

The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of the False Wyrm table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Oath of the False Wyrm spells
Paladin Level Spells
3 Chromatic Orb, Command
5 Scorching Ray, Suggestion
9 Fear, Fly
13 Charm Monster, Fire Shield
17 Dominate Person, Legend Lore

Level 3: Draconic Delusion

Your absolute belief in your own draconic nature has begun to manifest as divine power.

You gain the following benefits.

Draconic Ancestor

Choose one type of dragon as your Draconic Ancestor. Your choice determines the damage type of several features in this subclass.

Dragon Damage Type

Bronze Lightning
Copper Acid
Gold Fire
Green Poison
Red Fire
Silver Cold
White Cold

You also learn Draconic. If you already know it, you learn another language of your choice.

Scaled Hide

Your scales have hardened under the influence of your divine conviction.

While you aren't wearing armor, you can calculate your armor class using 12 + your Constitution modifier + your Charisma modifier.

Dragon's Breath

As a Magic action, you can exhale destructive energy in a 15-foot Cone. Each creature in the area makes a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking 4d8 damage of your Draconic Ancestor's type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The damage increases to 5d8 at Paladin level 7, 6d8 at level 15, and 8d8 at level 20.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 3: Draconic Appraisal

Your belief in the greatness of your possessions has begun to alter reality.

You can designate a number of mundane objects you own as Treasured Objects, as shown in the Treasured Objects Table. You can designate a new Treasured Object whenever you finish a long rest, replacing one or more previous choices.

While Frightened in this way, the creature has Disadvantage on attack rolls against you.

The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a successful save.

If the creature succeeds on its initial saving throw, it is immune to your Claim of the Wyrm for 24 hours.

Legendary Appraisal

Alternatively, when you use your Channel Divinity, you can touch one of your Treasured Objects and proclaim its true nature.

Until you finish your next Long Rest, that object can have one additional Draconic Property simultaneously.

You emanate an aura of supernatural authority that extends 10 feet from you. The range increases to 30 feet when you reach Paladin level 18.
