Monk
Base Class: Monk

You treat the empty space in front of you as your ultimate opponent, weaving your body so fast and unpredictably that your shadow detaches, moving with terrifying autonomy to strike from impossible angles. To you, a foe isn't someone you react to—they are just a heavy bag waiting for a rhythm you've already practiced in an empty room.

Level 3: Phantom Sparring

Ghost Hook: As a bonus action, you can expend 1 Focus/Ki point to make your shadow a kinetic echo that mirrors your strikes. For the next 1 minute, whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, your detached shadow lashes out from an adjacent or unoccupied space within 15 feet of the target, dealing extra force damage equal to your dexterity modifier.

Phantom Footwork: While Ghost hook is active, opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage, as enemies try to swing at a shifting afterimage.

Level 6: Anticipatory Rhythm

When a creature makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction and spend 1 Focus/Ki point to impose disadvantage on the roll.

If the attack still misses you, you can immediately make one unarmed strike against that creature as part of the same reaction, provided they are within your reach.

Level 11: Shadow in the corner of their eye

When you use your Flurry of Blows, you can teleport up to 10 feet before or after each individual unarmed strike to an unoccupied space you can see.

If you end this teleportation within 5 feet of a creature, the first attack you make against them this turn counts as an attack made from an unexpected angle, granting you advantage on the roll.

Level 17: Echoing Impacts

When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 Focus/Ki points to unleash a flurry of phantom echoes. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failure, the creature takes an extra 3d10 + wisdom modifier in force damage and is stunned until the end of your next turn as phantom punches batter them from all sides. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage without wisdom modifier and isn’t stunned.
