Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Clerics of the Domain of the Moonlit Pack believe that the greatest source of strength is not found in standing alone, but in the bonds shared between members of a pack. To them, loyalty, protection, and companionship are sacred, and no member of the pack should ever be abandoned when danger approaches.

Their divine power manifests through the soft silver light of the moon. When they heal the wounded, faint moonlight may surround their companion. When they protect an ally, shimmering silver energy can briefly form between them and an incoming attack. When forced to fight, that same gentle light can become a powerful source of radiant energy against those who threaten the pack.

Unlike many traditional clerics, a Moonlit Pack Cleric does not need temples, elaborate ceremonies, or spoken prayers to demonstrate their devotion. A wolf may express their faith through protective instincts, loyalty, howls beneath the night sky, and an unwavering determination to defend those they consider family.

Members of this domain are particularly protective of injured, frightened, or vulnerable creatures. They will often place themselves between danger and another member of their pack, refusing to leave a companion behind even when retreat would be safer.

As their divine connection grows stronger, Moonlit Pack Clerics learn to channel their power through their bond with others. Their healing becomes stronger, their protective abilities extend across the battlefield, and their howls can become powerful expressions of divine magic.

To a Moonlit Pack Cleric, the pack is more than companionship—it is something sacred.

Under the light of the moon, they stand together.

And when one member of the pack is threatened, the whole pack answers. 🌙🐺

🌙 Moonlit Sight

Your divine connection to the moon strengthens your vision.

You gain Darkvision to 60 feet. If you already have Darkvision, its range increases by 30 feet instead.

Because the Frostfang Wolf already has 60-foot Darkvision, this becomes 90 feet. 🐺🌙

🐺 Blessing of the Pack

When you finish a Long Rest, choose a number of willing creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one). They become members of your Moonlit Pack until you finish your next Long Rest.

Whenever you cast a 1st-level or higher spell that restores hit points to a member of your Moonlit Pack, they regain an additional 2 hit points.

🐺🌙 Channel Divinity: Guardian Howl

As an action, you release a powerful howl infused with silver moonlight.

Choose a number of creatures you can see within 30 feet of you, up to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one).

Each chosen creature gains temporary hit points equal to your Cleric level + your Wisdom modifier.

Additionally, until the start of your next turn, those creatures have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

You regain your use of Channel Divinity when you finish a short or long rest, following the 2014 Cleric rules.

🐺 At Level 3

With Wisdom 15 (+2), Guardian Howl can currently affect 2 creatures, and each gains:

3 + 2 = 5 temporary HP 🌙❤️

🛡️ Instinct of the Guardian

Your connection to your pack has grown so strong that you instinctively move to protect them from harm.

When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to surround them with protective silver moonlight.

Reduce the damage they take by:

1d8 + your Wisdom modifier

The protected creature must be a member of your Moonlit Pack.

You can use Instinct of the Guardian a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once).

You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

🌙 What It Looks Like

When you use this ability, silver-white moonlight flashes around your companion as the wolf lets out a short protective growl or howl. The light absorbs part of the incoming blow before disappearing.

At Wisdom 15 (+2), the wolf can currently use this feature twice per Long Rest, reducing damage by 1d8 + 2 each time. 🐺🛡️

🌙 Divine Strike — Moonlit Fang

Your divine connection to the moon now flows through your natural attacks.

Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with your Frostfang Bite, you can cause the attack to deal an additional:

✨ 1d8 Radiant damage

The additional damage appears as brilliant silver moonlight surrounding your fangs as you strike.

🌕🐺 Alpha's Sacred Howl

Your bond with your pack has reached its divine peak. As an action, you raise your head and release a powerful howl as brilliant silver moonlight surrounds your companions.

Choose up to 6 willing creatures within 30 feet of you that can hear you. You can include yourself.

For 1 minute, each chosen creature gains:

  • 🛡️ Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.
  • ❤️ Advantage on death saving throws.
  • 🌙 Advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
  • ✨ Once on each of their turns when they deal damage with an attack, they deal an additional 1d4 Radiant damage.

You must maintain Concentration, as though concentrating on a spell.

Once you use Alpha's Sacred Howl, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.

🌙 What It Looks Like

As the wolf howls, a spectral full moon appears overhead and silver light spreads across the battlefield. Faint spectral wolves race between the members of the pack, leaving trails of moonlight behind them.

For that moment, the party doesn't fight as separate adventurers.

They fight as one pack. 🐺🌕✨
