Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Occasionally, a dragon's spirit will see a spark in another's life and find worth nurturing. These individuals can forge a bond that runs deeper than flesh and begin a rigorous training regimen under the draconic spirit's tutelage.

Draconic Bond

3rd-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

Choose one type of dragon. This choice determines the damage type for your Dragon Disciple features and the cantrip you learn from your mentor. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Dragon Damage Type Cantrip
Black Acid Acid Splash
Blue Lightning Shocking Grasp
Brass Fire Dancing Lights
Bronze Lightning Light
Copper Acid Acidcraft
Gold Fire Thaumaturgy
Green Poison Poison Spray
Red Fire Produce Flame
Silver Cold Spare the Dying
White Cold Ray of Frost

Saving Throws

Some of your abilities may require your target to make a saving throw to resist their effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Draconic Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Spell Attack Modifier

Spell Attack Modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Draconic Transformation

3rd-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

As a bonus action, you can tap into your draconic training and undergo a full transformation for 1 minute. While transformed, your size increases by one category and you gain one of the following abilities.

Draconic Might

Your draconic blood strengthens your form, increasing your Strength score by 2.

Draconic Sense

Your draconic senses awaken, granting you blindsight with a range of 5 × your fighter level.

Draconic Weapon

Your draconic power manifests as a breath weapon, granting you the Breath Attack action.

Breath Attack (Recharge 5–6). As an action, you exhale in a cone equal to 10 feet × your proficiency bonus. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking damage of the type determined by your Draconic Bond equal to 5 × half your fighter level (rounded up) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Draconic Flight

7th-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

You can meditate for 1 minute and sprout a pair of wings, gaining a flying speed equal to your walking speed, for 1 hour or until dismissed (no action required).

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Draconic Fear

10th-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

When you score a critical hit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points, hostile creatures within 60 feet of you that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of their next turn.

In addition, you have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

Draconic Legend

15th-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

You can now activate Draconic Flight as a reaction when you fall, jump, or a creature other than you ends its turn. When you activate Draconic Flight as a reaction, each creature within 15 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. You can then fly up to half your speed.

Draconic Apex

18th-Level Dragon Disciple Feature

You gain the following benefits:

  • You gain immunity to your Draconic Bond damage type.
  • When you use Draconic Transformation, you gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level.
  • When you use Draconic Flight, your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • When a creature fails its saving throw against your Draconic Fear, it is instead frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
  • You can bring along up to one willing creature of your size or smaller when you use Draconic Legend and choose to fly. The creature must be within 10 feet of you when you begin moving.
