Base Class: Sorcerer
Divine Sorcerers are descendents of gods that for some reason have lost their devinity but not their spell casting capabilities. Their magic capabilities increase with age and whenever they're close to sacred artefacts or places. Once they regained their devinity, they can learn spells from any class fitting their domain. Before that, they can "only" learn spells from the classes Sorcerer, Arteficer, Cleric and Druid.
Divine Bloodline
Starting at 1st level, your veins still carry the remnants of divinity stolen from you. You have resistance to radiant damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Additionally, you can speak, read, and write Celestial.
Divine Residue
When you cast a spell that restores hit points or deals radiant or necrotic damage, you can channel the lingering divinity within your bloodline. Once per turn, when you do so, you can choose one of the following effects:
-
Radiant Aftermath: Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you takes radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
-
Necrotic Echo: Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take necrotic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
-
Divine Shield: You or one creature you can see within 30 feet of you gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your sorcerer level.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Goldfall Aura
Starting at 14th level, the fallen divinity within you radiates an aura of overwhelming power. As a bonus action, you can activate this aura for 1 minute. Once activated, you can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
While active, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects. Additionally, whenever a creature within 10 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to force that creature to make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the spell fails and is wasted.
Ascendant Remnant
At 18th level, the divine essence within you has fully awakened, though your godhood remains stolen. You no longer age, and you can't be aged by magical means.
Additionally, when you roll damage for a spell that deals radiant or necrotic damage, you can replace any damage die that rolls a 1 or 2 with a 6. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 3: Allspeach
Your divine heritage grants you mastery over all languages. You can speak, read, understand or write every language. When you encounter anlamguage you have never seen or heard before, you immediately understand it as if you were a native speaker.
