Base Class: Sorcerer
The Weave of Magic has never been an abstract concept to you. For as long as you can remember, you have been able to see the Weave of Magic. During your youth, the Weave was a source of confusion until you realized that you were the only one who could actually see the Weave. Since then, you have learned to use your Eldritch Sight to manipulate the Weave of Magic intuitively.
Eldritch Sight
You gain truesight out to 30 feet and can sense the presence of magic within this range. If you sense magic in this way, you can use your action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic, and you learn its school of magic, if any. If you do not take a short rest by mid-day to rest your eyes, you will have disadvantage on all Wisdom (perception) checks until you rest. You also learn the identify spell, which you can cast without the material component. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known.
Spell Emulation
At 6th level, you can attempt to emulate spells that you have previously seen. You can gain spells in this fashion whenever spellcasters (including creatures with innate spellcasting abilities) cast a spell within range of your Eldritch Sight, but the spell cannot be higher than 5th level. To cast the spell you must succeed on an Intelligence (arcana) check against a DC equal to 10 + the spell level, and you must expend a spell slot when you use this feature to cast the spell, if you're casting a spell of 1st level or higher. Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you complete a short or long rest.
Ethereal Wings
Starting at 14th level, your familiarity with the Weave of Magic allows you to move uninhibited through the Ethereal Plane. You learn the etherealness spell, which is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. You can cast this spell once without expending a spell slot, but you cannot do so again until you complete a short or long rest. When you cast this spell you create ethereal wings for yourself that allows you to move your normal speed in any direction.
Wishful Thinking
At 18th level, your intuition with the Weave of Magic allows you to accomplish impossible feats. You learn the wish spell, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. When you suffer the stress from using the Wish spell for anything other than duplicating a lower level spell, there will be a 33 precent chance that you will permanently increase the number of days required to recover with an additional 2d4 instead of losing the ability to cast wish, and if this occurs, you cannot use the wish spell again until you have fully recovered.
