The College of Papercraft Class for Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Fifth Edition (5e)

Base Class: Bard

When a Papermaster casts a spell, the performance is entirely visual and kinetic:

The Sound of Magic: The "song" of this college is the crisp, rhythmic rustle of turning pages, the sharp snap of paper unfolding, and the lethal thrum of a sheet slicing through the air like a pendulum.
Telekinetic Artistry: They use a specialized form of telekinesis to manipulate paper. Sheets hover in orbit around them like a swirling vortex, instantly folding themselves into beautiful, intricate origami shapes or compressing into blocks as dense as steel.

Many Papermasters operate as elite librarians, royal archivists, secret agents, or wandering seekers of forbidden lore. They are deeply obsessed with books—often to a comical degree—and are driven by a dual desire to protect historical knowledge and unleash the hidden power trapped within the pages. In an adventurer party, they serve as brilliant tacticians, using their versatile papercraft to seamlessly switch between razor-sharp offense and impenetrable defense

Level 3: Paper Manipulation

3 level – Paper manipulation

As a bonus action you can draw a paper from a book, pack, or surroundings. You can manipulate up to a ream (500 sheets) of paper at a time.
If you lose your paper, you can spend one hour of time (in a short rest) to get more paper without the risk of not being well rested.

Level 3: Paper Armor

3 level – Paper Armor

You can create an instant shield of paper around yourself in a swoosh of origami.
When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction and expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration. Add the number rolled to your AC for that attack, potentially causing it to miss as a dense shield of origami blocks the blow.
While you are not wearing armor and not wielding a shield, your AC is 10+ your Dex + Charisma Modifier.

Razor Sheets

3 level – Razor Sheets

You create and harden paper sheets to slash your enemies. You can use your paper to make ranged weapon attacks. This counts as a martial ranged weapon you are proficient with. It has a normal range of 30ft and a long range of 90 ft.
On a hit, this deals slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your Dexterity or Charisma modifier.
On an attack, you can expend a bardic die to create a flurry of pages. If you do, you can create an additional razor page as a bonus action. The number of pages you can create increases every two levels.

Folded Arsenal

6 level – Folded Arsenal

Your speed and complexity in folding paper increase dramatically.
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the attack action on your turn.
Additionally, your razor pages now count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Origami Master

14 level – Origami Master

As an action, you can expend a bardic inspiration to fold your paper into one of two forms for 10 minutes.

Paper Avian – You fashion a massive origami bird. You and up to three willing creatures can ride on the paper bird's back. It gives a flying speed of 60ft. As an action, you can create a gust of wind that forces creatures in a 15ft cone to make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked prone.

Paper Behemoth – You create a massive multi-legged beast or hound. It acts on your initiative count. It has hit points equal to five times your bard level, an AC of 16, and can make a slam attack dealing 2d10 + Charisma bludgeoning damage. It can intercept attacks made for you, taking damage instead if within 5 ft.
