Base Class: Wizard
Some wizards are both masters of the arcane and the physical. These wizards are able to magically alter properties of the world like velocity, acceleration, energy, density, and even the perception of time. Such wizards are far and few between, as the study of such topics often drive them mad before they even uncover the universe's true power. Find the balance between magic and matter with the physicist wizard.
All-Nighter
Wizards of the physics tradition often find themselves staying up late studying. Whenever you make an ability check using Intelligence and have the exhausted condition, you do not suffer disadvantage.
Additionally, when taking a long rest you only require 4 hours of sleep.
Kinematic Control
At 2nd level you can rapidly accelerate or decelerate objects and creatures in motion. When a creature within 60 feet of you is hit by a weapon attack, you can use your reaction to alter the attack's velocity, causing the target to take extra damage of the weapon's type or reduce the damage by 1d6 + your wizard level.
Alternatively, if a creature within 60ft of you takes damage from a fall, you can use your reaction to treat all dice rolled as having rolled their maximum or minimum value, choose each time you use this feature.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Relativity
At 6th level your mastery over the perception of time begins to show. You add the Slow and Haste spells to your spell book if they are not there already. When you cast Haste, the bonus to the target's AC increases to +3. When you cast Slow, the penalty to the target's AC decreases to -3.
In addition, while you maintain concentration on either spell your movement is also doubled. To receive this benefit you cannot be under the effects of a haste spell.
Superposition
At 10th level you can give your spells quantum properties, seeming to be in multiple places at once until the moment of effect. Whenever you cast a spell that targets only one creature, you can declare the spell to be in superposition. Choose a second creature within range. You can choose which creature is the true target of the spell after you know whether the attack hits or the save is failed for each creature.
For example, if you cast chromatic orb at a creature and declare superposition, choose a second target and roll a ranged spell attack for each target. You may choose which creature suffers the damage of the spell after knowing if either attack hits.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
Dissertation
Upon reaching 14th level, you have become a pioneer in a particular field of physics. Choose one of the following features.
Violent Acceleration. When you use your Kinetic control feature, you can expend three uses at once. When you do so, the creature you choose has either resistance or vulnerability to the damage caused by Kinetic Control.
Light Speed. While concentrating on Slow or Haste, the penalty or bonus to AC changes to -4 or +4 respectively. Additionally, any movement by you or a target hasted by you does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Schrodinger's Spell. Whenever you declare superposition on a spell, it affects both targets simultaneously. If the spell successfully hits or takes effect on one creature, the other creature automatically suffers the effects regardless of their roll. This feature does not bypass legendary resistance.
