Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Guiding Hand teaches its students how to maneuver flawlessly around the battlefield in ways to aid their companions. A guiding hand weaves in and out of combat like a skirmisher to provide assistance wherever it is most needed in that moment.

A guiding hand often sees themself as the caretaker of a given group of adventurers, doting on them and worrying about their well-being. Because of this, a guiding hand will often spend a majority of their downtime attempting to train or work out complex battle strategies to give their companions the best possible chance of success, or failing that, meditate until the stress of their burden of responsibility is lifted from their mind.

Effortless Movements

By 3rd level, you've learned how to effortlessly weave in and out of combat and around the battlefield. Your Step of the Wind no longer requires you to spend a Ki point, and whenever you use your Step of the Wind, your walking speed increases by 10 feet until the end of the current turn.

Harness the Mind

Starting at 3rd level, combat hones your senses. As a bonus action, you perform a brief moment of meditation to regain up to 2 of your expended Ki points. You can use this feature a number of times equal to twice your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Distracting Presence

Starting at 6th level, as a reaction, you may give one enemy that you can see within 15 feet of you disadvantage on all saving throws they make until the end of your next turn. Alternatively, you may use your reaction to grant an ally within 5 feet of you the help action. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per short rest.

Font of Protection

Starting at 6th level, you can use your Ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 4 Ki points to cast Aura of Life, Aura of Purity, Aura of Vitality, or Dimension Door. Once you cast one of these spells in this way, you cannot cast that spell again until you finish a long rest. Additionally, you gain the Guidance and Resistance cantrips if you don't already know them and may cast them without providing material components.

Adaptive Combatant

Starting at 11th level, the hard work and dedication to your meditation has finally borne fruit as you near enlightenment. You no longer need to breathe and you gain a swimming and climbing speed each of 30 feet.

Battlefield Strategist

Starting at 11th level, you can spend 6 Ki points to cast Scatter once per short rest using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability.

Unimpeded Movement

By 17th level, the multiverse itself has become your battlefield. You are no longer affected by difficult terrain, you gain a flying speed of 30 feet, and as a bonus action on your turn, you can magically teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can teleport in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per short rest. Additionally, once per day, you can cast Teleport or Plane Shift without providing material components.
